Welcome from Illinois, love seeing the progress. Those filler cushions are odd, do people really put them in and out every time they board the boat?

Some folks probably do but its would be a pain. I've had my fillers in a time or two but I'm not crazy about people stepping on the cushions to go in ir out, so they stay stored. Last summer at TRL we had 7 people on board all day for a couple if says and had plenty of room and no need for the fillers
A7 on the other hand regularly hauls a bus load of kids around and needs the extra seating!

We don't use ours very often either but really if you want 4 adults across the back in mine you kind of need them. I always have mine in the bow storage but rarely take them out. And if we are anchored they are removed for the walk through to be opened back up. No way would they be getting walked on. The sun pads are large enough you really don't need tn he treat sundeck one to be in all the time. Again very seldom is that one just used.mine look brand new after 17 years. Yes a few boats I have purchased they have not been in them. Yes a few times they have been sold separately to make a few hundred more dollars off the boat. But they also help sell the boat so it's a fine line you walk.

So true YT. We are masters at installing and removing those aft filler cushions. Use them quite a bit. Now it takes us about 5-7 seconds to snap/lock in the seat cushions.
Can’t thank u and Liquid enough for making that cushion purchase happen as we operate -at times- what looks like a refugee boat.

Despite having the cushions removed your seats still got stepped. A real Shame!

Welcome to Cobalt chat.
From the first picture you posted, I'm wondering if you're a homeowner in Tannebaum?
Looks like Eden Isle Marina in the distance.
Wife and I love GFL and I'll probably see you there next summer.
We're docked at Shiloah Marina and spend lots of time in that area of the lake.
Good luck on your search.

I am thinking of getting the cad cams done for the backseat cushion fillers and the front middle cushion fillers so it can be shared. Would anyone be interested in this cad cam?

Also my new wood dash and wood sides being built by technocrafic.com
Should be here by middle of May. I stuck with the burlwood look that is close to OEM. Also included the option to have the writing backlight by red LED for a soft glow to read each label for the switches during the night. In the daytime this will look like OEM stencil lettering.
I will post pics once they get here and show the progress of turning this boat into better than when it came off the factory. Slow progress but looking awesome piece by piece.

The center cap for older cobalt steering wheels can be easily replaced and believe it or not the factory still has this part. It is a dome type cap with aluminum adhesive backing that allows for the old one to be removed and new one placed into the steering wheel cap. The part number is P/N is 450678 (Emblem, steering wheel, ‘99). Here is a picture of my old one and I went ahead and ordered a total of 3 of the parts at $6.99 each for future since they seem to fade the fastest.

Outstanding Lancer...and we appreciate the pics too!
There are quite a few folks who would be interested in a template for the filler cushions. It’s just such a difficult item to source.
The dash is another high interest item as well. Great to hear you are tackling these. U da’ man!

I have a spare center for a wheel. But I would buy the new steering wheel.

Thank you everyone. The time off from the Covid 19 has put my boat project full speed ahead. Will keep more pictures coming. She’s running great. Even made a landing on my lift.
Someone asked earlier. I’m on Eden Isle Marina- the Red Apple area.
