I don’t think I have ever had a bad day at Lake Powell. If I can get the boat repaired soon I think I will go one more time this year, probably Bullfrog this time. I like hanging out in the side canyons.
Here’s a picture from Dangling Rope Marina.

No I'm renting the jet ski's. Yes your boat is coming. The tow might be a bit closer. Lol

Perfect, we'll sacrifice the rentals if it comes to that 😂

Here’s what the rental fleet looks like, Triumph 19’ with a outboard. I don’t know if the Powell God’s would accept the offer.

I got the estimate for my rock damaged outdrive. Over 10K, I guess I will be finding out how good of insurance Progressive is. I have had them for 13 years without a claim, hopefully they will be decent.

Yecks. Not good. What are they all wanting to replace?

.
That sounds high. Sometimes the repair facility will over-inflate the cost estimate knowing insurance could well come into play paying the damage with deeper pockets.

I haven’t got a quote in writing with all the details yet. The repair shop is the dealer that I bought the boat from, I should know more later today.

Well a new surf drive costs just sit that plus new props. I'm sure it gets you real close to that price. I'm not surprised. Hopefully no coupler or anything else like that.

I made a claim with Progressive today, they waved my deductible since I’ve never had a claim with them before. I hope it will get done in time for one more Powell trip this year.
The only other boat insurance claim was also outdrive damage at Lake Powell in 1992. I had a Chaparral 198 with a OMC 260hp 5.7 GM engine. I caught a rope in the prop and scattered the lower drive. I think that repair bill was about 4K back then.
