At least mine did. I've got a 2000 226. I tried it on the light that was out first so if I screwed something up I didn't need to buy two lights.
As an update, the 100% silicone i used as an adhesive to hold the two halves together is holding well. I would go that route as opposed to pvc glue. If you ever need to split them again you will be able to separate the silicone.
