Are those Southco slam latches? They make a locking version that would help with keeping things secure.

You're right! Just saw those. Going to order those for the side compartment and both floor storage lockers too!

I can’t say enough about the DL 3200# 2 speed winch. Pretty amazing engineering and quality. Made in USA

New 2500lb high lift trailer jack on. Lifts so much easier than the old tired one.

New 2 speed HD winch on. Holy moly!!!!! In the normal gear ratio it feels like a normal winch. But when you out it into low gear it is like magic. It will literally pull anything! Very very very very happy with this upgrade!!

The size of this thing is just entertaining to look at. Took the boat out this evening for a test run for an hour to check all systems and check for any problems. Ran strong, hit top speed of 54mph easily with four people and 3/4 tank of gas. Full tank is listed as 140gallons. With 1/4 tank of gas I bet we could touch 56-58mph. For a single 8.2 GSi duoprop that is not too bad.

Trim tabs and hydraulic engine lift aren't working correctly. I hear the pump running and relays clicking but not much is happening. Reservoir has fluid, I'll try bleeding the lines next week to see if that does it.

All bilge pumps and blowers work fine.

Corsa captains call works fine.
Tilt/trim for outdrive works fine.

All lights function as they should. Will be replacing interior lights with new housings and LED bulbs.

Guagea all seem to work, ROM guagea has a mind of its own. Will check the connections to make sure they're all good.

Stereo sounds great, surprisingly. Amp needs to be wired direct to battery to get rid of hiss when. Electronics are switched on. Will be taking care of that next few weeks.

Transom mounted trim switch works, love that!

Water temps and oil pressure stay where they should and solid even after being at wide open throttle for a while.

Trailer rides surprisingly well. Going to move the main bunks out a couple more inches to let the hull ride lower while trailering.

Next things added to the list are distributor cap, distributor rotor, spark plug wires, and spark plugs. Runs fine, but I'm not sure how old they are so I'll be replacing them.

Looking good. That is sure one big honking boat.

I find our 240 a handful when launching or retrieving sometimes, especially if there is any kind of wind. Yours would be a whole other world of interesting...

Good point. that was on the speedo. I'll check it on GPS once we get out again.

Lol. Y'all know me well by now I am so impatient with projects, once there is not much left to improve on I get bored and have to move onto another.

This one is a very good fit for us size wise. We may end up keeping it for a few years. Small enough for watersports. Big enough for 12 people comfortably for those times when multiple friends want to join.

If your tachometer is fluctuating, try moving the setting screw on the back from and then back to it's original setting a few times. The contacts get dirty and moving them a few times often corrects the problem. It's easy to do and worth the effort. Great looking boat!

Some more goodies showing up in the mail. Won't have time to mess with any of it until next week unfortunately.

8x Polk DB652 6.5's. 100wRMS/300wMAX. Used these in our last Cobalt and was very impressed. On par with the JL 6.5's in my opinion, but can handle more power and louder. Will be replacing the 6 existing ones, and adding 2 to the swim platform area:

Spare tire mount for the trailer. With 3 axles and 6 wheels something will eventually get a flat. Good to be preppared:
