Re: R5 mods
I believe harness is set up for 2 wires (quattro)and not three(x2). Looks like you can just use 2 wire hook up for x2 but why spend the extra money for not a lot more lumens. Let me know if you are able to easily connect x2 via the three wires. Thanks
Re: R5 mods
I got them for less than the common price of the Quattro and I will wire them in a 2 wire configuration. You just combine two of the wires. The current draw is 6A per light so I may have to put in a relay which is not a huge deal.higginspa1371 wrote: Sat Dec 12, 2020 10:40 am I believe harness is set up for 2 wires (quattro)and not three(x2). Quattro has 2000 lumens and the X2 has 6000 lumens so there is quite a difference in light output.
X2 has a white mode, a blue mode and a dual white and blue mode by just toggling the switch. If the on off switch on the dash seems to have an issue with the toggle, I may put an intermittent NC switch hidden under the dash I can hit to toggle the light mode.

I am a retired electrical engineer so I live for this stuff. More gadgets the better.higginspa1371 wrote: Sun Dec 13, 2020 11:04 am Did not realize the big difference. Once you talk about relays and switches, I am out!
