Welcome!

We boat next door at Don Pedro in the summer (and very occasionally Melones). We've got a vacation house in Twain Harte.

Cool, I lived in Santa Cruz and my wife lived in Campbell when we meet in 2013. Our main residence is now 5 minutes from Melones. Love DP, I bet the A25 gets attention at the falls! I used to go to DP with my buddy and stay on his houseboat, he unexpectedly passed a couple years ago. :(

Your signature says you like cars, me too. Building a 69 Road Runner 6bbl 4sp. at the moment! My land yacht!

Speaking of, I also road-tripped to pick up our boat. Round trip from the SF Bay Area to Rogers, Arkansas. Long drive, but worth it!

Here's my post about it at the time:

Sweet, we're out of Tahoe Meadows. I wonder if you were the same color boat I saw at Sunnyside and asked, "what kind of boat is that?" While hovering for dock parking. That was the beginning of the search which eventually lead to my NJ road trip. 🍻
Nope...just bought it. Will be up there in May. I am the person who had the R5 mods thread that got hijacked. Getting all my mods in while it is in sunny and warm So Cal. It will be stored down in Gardnerville during the winter, hopefully inside.

You are SUPER close to us. 15 minutes drive in a car. We had friends that used to stay in the Meadows. Where are you going to be keeping your boat during the summer or do you just trailer it?

Gasoline Dialogues...... You'll see a Mopar or no car trend.

1969 Roadrunner, 440, 6BBL, 4 Speed Pistol Grip. Hopefully will be putting the engine and transmission in the car within the next week.

New Performance built 440. Edelbrock Aluminum Heads, roller cam motor. Solid roller lifters. Crane Rockers. 6bbl cast iron intake. Gold Plated Holley 6 pack carbs ready to go on. Full polished ceramic TTI 2" headers to 3" exhaust ready to mount. Should push 550hp easy.

Going in here.... You can see the Willwood brake on the firewall. Converted to discs on all 4 corners. It's since been cleaned of the drywall dust.

Wife's Jeep. We like to head to the Rubicon Trail when we need a change of pace....

We also have a ranch, can you guess who's bike? We have horses but I prefer the bike. This was our branding roundup in January. Also the reason I have a dually 3500 that I used it to pick up my boat in NJ!

During the summer it will be on the first ball in the Meadows towards Stateline. We trailer it up there the end of June and stay for the summer usually to the end of September. I'd like to check the mods out in person sometime!

NIce! Glad to have you here. I see some aftermarket axle studs, do you go to the track? I think we need to start a car/toy pic thread.

Good eye! I plan on it with this car just for fun, although I never have before. I've always spectated. My wife's stepfather is rotisserie restoring a 66 Chevelle so we have a little competition going that will be settled at the track in Sacramento. He just pulled his motor and found it's a DZ302, had no idea! He thought he had a 350 and was going 383, but now he is in a pickle what to do. I'd sell the DZ302 and go big block!

I bought the RR in October after it was stored inside for about 30 years. It's the first car I've ever rebuilt so I'm learning a lot from buddies that know way more than me! Luckily the bones are solid so it mostly mechanical.

In a couple months these go back away because it'll be time to buff and ceramic the R3 and get that ready. These (car, tractor, ranch) are just a few projects to get me to that point! Being on the boat with my wife is probably my favorite thing. It forces us to relax ;)

I will defiantly get a thread started tonight for all of our members fun cars. We are much the same with drag racing, I do it for fun only a few test and tunes every year. I am with you on the DZ - let a Camaro guy pay for his next engine(rightfully so)!! And I dont think you will have to twist certain unmentioned members arm *coughBBPcough* about a the next engine being a BB esp in a Chevelle. My only suggestion are to keep these old street cars 11.50 or slower so you dont need a roll bar, which in my mind ruins a weekend cruiser.

Absolutely.

Just picked up a new toy for my boats...A Rinda Diacom. I already had a Rinda for my Mercury outboard but it wouldn't support the new engine. I like gadgets.
