I've noticed this with a few of the pics folks have posted.....but why arent alot of these marinas covered with boat lifts? Is is a state regulation that they cant? Candlewood looks beautiful BTW.
The marina next door has a few. At my marina I believe it's because they are only allowed to run docks out so far. There's a 5 year waiting list and they jam the boats in there tight! So I think the return is just not there for them. More boats, more $$$.

Table Rock I think it's interesting to see the difference in Marinas and docks in our part of the world compared to what they have up north. Down here you won't hardly see a doc without a lift or without a cover. Up there I see a lot of Dock's sticking off out in the water like a Runway where you just pull up next to it and tie off. No roofs or covers of any kind. Maybe it's the hail in our area, I don't know?

Docks up north have to come out in the winter normally. That would be a lot of extra work for Memorial Day to Labor Day operation. I am guessing your socks stay in year around.
I'm shallower lakes, people use metal lifts and pull them out after the season. The are not water operated. Look up shorestation lifts or look at liquids pics.

Well that makes sense about winter. I'm familiar with the metal lifts that pull the boats up. My dad has one at his house on lake Conroe in TX. It's a shallow lake. He has a half circle cover thing as a roof.
So I guess you have to pull your boat before they pull the docks then have to have another storage option. I like keeping it in one place....and not tailoring

Atlan, missed your question as we are on road traveling. I'm absolutely thrilled with it. We don't ski any more so our boating is different now. Love the 280 hp & duoprop. Top end is 50, plenty for me. Also love the way it handles, sports car like. Had I ordered it, may have gotten a black or navy. We got white/red stripe. New features like digital gauges, closed cooling, fender clips, stainless Bimini, walk thru, folding swim platform, all great. Thanks for asking. Can't wait to see your new girl.

I believe it was last weekend. There's a campground across the street I believe. They think someone is coming over from there. It's gated but not always locked and I guess easy to get through. I believe right at Indian point marina. He's boat had a half tank less of gas. The marina had a second set of keys I guess they were getting. I think he lives in st Louis. On the crownline forum.

Yea there is a campground by Indian Point marina. Good Lord losers.....find something better to do. The harbor is gated....though you can walk right around it. But then you'd have to walk through a certain part of the marina to get to the docks.

Aslan- yes redneck riviera is how we're known! Pensacola is very close...just a few min to the Navy base and elsewhere so when you're down let me know if you have time.
Dub - your right! Cosmos is very good. Can meet there too!
SSM- cool pic of you dad and his "old Camaro!
Covered slips and hurricanes don't play well so few at marinas but more private.
