You tell me which one is the led one.lol. I only use then when I have boat. They work great to light up the door so I don't hit it.
Just because you have the small docking lights doesn't mean you have led ones. B you might have to do some mods to it to make it work. I had to use a stainless washer. The light was just a hair too small. You can change them from outside of the boat.

I haven't seen enough of the new ones to opin yet but I am surprised at the change. I mentioned led to a dealer and he said something negative about the mist and fog reflection so much more than the halogen. Prob stay with the old bulbs for that reason here. Let us know the feedback.

I did it for the current draw on them when I'm anchored to the trailer. On some boats when you turn them on the stereo would cut out.

I only use around marina at night and when running after dark I flip on a few seconds every now and then for other boats to see me. Like flipping on a spot for same thing.

I would make the switch they are so much nicer. Yes starboard are led. They don't get nearly as hot.
Flipped them on when I was on vac but didn't try them at the dock.darn.

Nice 6500 lumens..

I have pondered led but I just use the docking lights for my hoist entry until the motion lights kicks in.. Sherrifs and Coast Guard here on the Delta and big $$ fines if under way with docking lights on..alot of areas now are the same.
(they only permit hand held spots of to side or to shore if under way for short burst)

Im curious about the shimming BB. was it to prevent it from shifting and popping out side to side ?

I had one of my bulbs go bad. So i pulled the bad one and measured everything I could. New one should be direct replacement. But I know how direct replacement goes some times.

I believe that's the law everywhere about running docking lights at night. It is a no no. Can't see the red and green bow lights.
Yea had to shim it as they were a hair smaller than the retainer. I actually used a car rear diff shim. I wanted a real thin one and stainless. Worked great. I got it down pretty good with the three tiny springs that hold it in place.
Yes they made a huge diff and work great coming to a dock. I think.lol

Bulbs came a day early. :D
They fit perfect. Hard to tell how bright they are during the day. Will get more pics tonight.
