The Cobalt warranty is only for 3 years except for the hull warranty. Newer Cobalts are 5 years.

This is what the cracks in my gel coat look like. They extended about 18 inches

I would be upset also with those cracks.

Truthfully while I did buy used, the warranty and transfer was a part of it. So far I’ve been very unimpressed with customer service at cobalt. The emails I’ve sent in get very quick, uninterested responses. I have a few things to be looked at this winter while there is still some warranty left. Hoping for the best expecting not a whole lot of help.

I do love how the boat rides in the water, but customer service so far, unimpressive.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the "I tired of hearing this" thread.

I'm not familiar with that thread, though I looked for it. That said, just hoping for the best on some what I believe to be warranty issues when my boat goes in next week.

I've only e-mailed Cobalt a couple times, but I will just say the responses seem to be written in a quick, and uninterested manner. We will see what happens.

I’m sorry to hear that you are unimpressed with Cobalt’s customer service. I had an awesome experience through our dealer on the 2020 R5 surf we had. I never had an issue with anything being denied. They even paid the fiberglass guy to redo a small factory blemish in the gel coat.

In addition, I had questions that were directed to Cobalt regarding some problems with the new R6 surf, that were promptly answered by a phone call from Bill in customer service and Darren from Cobalt.
I must say I was impressed with their transparency and resolve to build the best boat on the market.
