As long as you can step from the swim platform to your dock you will be fine. All of the straps can be tightened from the swim platform, the ratchet straps on the rear sides will be a little more trouble but it would be doable. There area couple zippered openings in the cover above the swim step that will allow you to step on the swim platform and kinda back your way off the swim platform as you tighten and zip everything up.Edgedude wrote: Sun Oct 31, 2021 7:03 am Great photos Snowman8. I'm choosing between the mooring cover and the separate covers now for my R6 order. It looks like you can install the cover while in the boat and then on the swim platform, correct? Looks like the straps in the rear can be connected by reaching down from the platform. I assume the ratchets are also done while you are on the boat. I'm on a lift and the platform is going to stick out past the dock a bit.
Great advise! Do both.Snowman8 wrote: Sun Oct 31, 2021 8:40 amAs long as you can step from the swim platform to your dock you will be fine. If you even remotely think you will want both coves order them both now. The snap bow and cockpit covers would be a pain to install the snaps in the fiberglass later!! I personally think I like having both. The mooring cover takes a little more effort to put on but has better coverage, the bow and cockpit covers are easy to install but don’t protect as much.
