Preamp / head unit screen display is on. It matches what the helm remote screen is showing. There can’t be a single fuse that controls all speakers can there ?

Yes,

There are four dongles (4 zones) coming off the back end each with 4 RCA's ; a left, a right and 2 subs. If one of the sub RCA's has a cable connected it is going to one of your amps.

I think I’m going to assume the pre amp got fried. I found a new one on crutchfield PMX-5CAN for $379. My issue - amongst many others :-) is that I don’t know what causes the Voltage Regulator Mismatch - which may have fried the head unit - which could happen again. Maybe it needs to go to boat yard for diagnostics ?

Has anyone ever seen an error code of voltage regulator mismatch on the Garmin glass screen ?

Then once the boat ran for 30 seconds the right Garmin screen that I have set to show the gauges looked like this in sequence (I took a few pictures in a row)

Pictures uploaded out of sequence. Picture of 2 Garmin screens side by side is first
Single screen showing 12.5v & 12.8v was second
Single screen showing 13.0v and 13.4v was third

I then filled up with gas

Started the boat - no error messages & the single screen showed 11.2v and 13.7v

12.5-13.7 are normal voltage ranges for the boat, off and running respectively. It looks like the 10.9 and 11.1 voltages are the voltage alarm settings. I'd haul your battery (or batteries) into a marine shop and have them tested, as a relatively easy diagnostic. If you're getting good voltage while running (from the alternator) but the batteries are dying, you can have all sorts of electrical problems that are hard to diagnose.

Those picts all appear very normal. The Unit voltage is from your house battery which your stereo runs on. The Eng voltage is your engine battery. When the engine is shut down both voltages will drop to around 12V as the alternator is no longer running. The house battery continues to drop as you pull power from the radio, lights, ect. When you start your engine the ACR will begin to recharge both batteries. It will take a little time before the house bat is back to the level of the engine bat

Thank you!!!
Looks like the voltage regulator mismatch"" error is related to the "Unit" info on the 2 garmin screens being different from each other - one screen has Unit voltage of 11.1 and the other has Unit voltage of 10.9. Weird.

I had 2 new batteries installed last fall and had never received any of those error messages before ("voltage regulator mismatch" and also the "unit voltage alarm"). Should I have the batteries tested?

Last - will / could the low voltage on the "house" / radio battery fry the Rockford Fosgate head unit? Hesitant to buy a new one and have it happen again.

Is this the unit currently in the boat? I would have thought it was their black box device: PMX-8BB
