According to Cobalt prop sheet, in 2019, R5s with 350/380/430 all got FH6. 300 got FH5. My 2019 VP V8-380-DP certainly has FH6.

As a newbie owner of an R6 I cant say I have much to compare it to but having it out in the ocean here in the pacific i think it handles the waves well and have not had a seastate that was conducive to full out. For me I think it comes down to what you want in a boat. While I am with you on power power power, I just couldn't afford to drop $300k on an R8 with twins on them. For us it is a leisure cruiser and just a pleasure boat but as I said everyone is different. I am only sharing this because I dont feel it is underpowered with the Merc 300, if you dont have expectations of it launching like an offshore powerboat. Again, I say all of this from a newbie perspective but would want prospective not to kick out the R6 OB and go to a lesser brand with more power. Just my 1.5 cents
Thank you for your comments. I have a feeling the Merc 300 V8 will out perform the Yamaha V6. One thing I'm considering is a smaller boat with that Merc 300. Even though I would rather have a V8 I/O I know it's a risky buy here in South Florida because it will be really tough to sell if I need or want to.

Plus I think that the boat can probably handle a 450 so maybe some day that can be replaced "easily". I love the new flusing and look up the captain's call it has, pretty cool. Now i haven't been able to figure out how to turn it on but those are details

So I have a preliminary negotiated deal on a special order R4 OB with the Merc 300, bimini and a few essential options. Next week I will go see a for sale R4 in Cape Coral (300hp Yamaha) and on the same day I get to drive a 2022 Four Winns H4 OB with a 250hp Merc. The Four Winns pricing is surprisingly close to the Cobalt so I think there is little chance I will want the Four Winns but it's a good opportunity to compare and also check out how the Merc 250 performs on the H4 that is about 600 lbs lighter than the R4. BTW sport exhaust appears to be a button in the lower left corner of one of the engine screens based on a picture that I saw. Also watched a youtube video of one on/off and it sounds great. Even if it isn't as fast as I want at least it will sound like it haha.

Congrats! Just a suggestion on how to purchase options. Negotiate a % off on any selected options. Then look at the menu. If you are on the fence about something, get it now.

That's all that I could see but I will be on that boat next Thursday and can try to get the menus.

Thank you! My screens look nothing like that. I have the 8610xsv with stock programming from Cobalt.

Then I guess I can't help, sorry. Sounds like you need to contact Cobalt and I hope they didn't drop the ball on this feature.
Frankly I'm wavering on the R4 anyway. I'm afraid the lack of a head will make it hard to sell later. And Four Winns dropped a head into the unused engine compartment and put a tent around it which at first seems wierd but may have been a smart move...

Also the guagues will look different depending on engine. Volvo/ Merc/ Yamaha all have their own gauge sets.
