Haha there's a ton of "must do" modifications but my must do's wont be the same as yours.
-cockpit L.E.D replacement bulbs cheap DIY upgrade
-new stereo, speakers and add an amp and subwoofer
-tint windshield
-customized dock lines, fender covers and towels

I have some stereo items picked out already ($8000 worth of items in my "Dream" shopping cart on crutchfield currently), Audio is one of my life long passions.

Also have my eyes set on a wake tower by big air, called Cuda and their bimini - they also have some pretty nice Speaker/Light Combo bars - everything in black lol.

I was also looking for the extended swim platform. I found an OEM surplus one, Also would like to do cushions in the front over the cuddy so the wife and friends and spreadout in the sun if they wish - believe they're called "princess pads".

The boat is lacking two big items. The lower Amin platform and the tower. If lacking both, I would keep looking. If lacking one then that is ok.

Nice find on the OEM swim platform. Not easy to source. HIGHLY recommended though as it makes your 263 so much bigger on the water. We had the same hull without the extra extended swim platform or the stainless arch and wouldn’t think of owning this series without them. They spoil you and the family.

The triangle princess pads are tucked into the side wrap around seats in the Cuddy. Just pull them out, set the cross poles up, and the table on top of those with pads to follow. Now you got a princess bed.

"a sea trail"

I think we're in trouble when the Coast Guard doesn't know the difference between dirt and water.

Kate,

Just guessing here; water is wet and dirt is dirty?

Most puddles I’ve been in check both 🤣

Sounds like you have the stereo covered! May I ask where you found this swim platform? Princess pads sound like a good idea but the top port hole will get in the way and there is only room for one comfortably up there. This is why having the back seat and engine hatch filler cushions is huge. they make a big old sun pad when installed.

Well I might have been mistaken on the swim platform, I thought I saw it on greatlakesskipper.com but now revisiting to copy and paste a hyperlink, I can’t find it. Either they sold it already, I saw it somewhere else, or I was looking at something different altogether.

The princess pad would be easy enough to have a custom pad made that has a little section that’s cutout and lifts with the port hole 🤷🏼‍♂️

Unless, of course, the dirt self-identifies as water. Then you're good to go with "trail."

Twoduckdad,

I did a lot of Jiatf south patrols. Counter Narcotics and Migrant interdiction. Seen some crazy ish around the South American coastal waters.

Of course I was involved in my fair share of SAR cases too 😬

Well everyone, I pulled the plug on the deal with the gentleman selling the 2001 263… couldn’t iron out the logistics… but I just happened across a 2012 243 less than two hours from me ;)
