2011 276 with a blue hull. Freshwater. Filler cushions. Forward arch. Stored indoors. Volvo 8.1 with just 136 hours. No trailer.

The catch? The boat is located in Canada. But it's probably no further from home than the one in Florida and getting it across the border is a simple process. Asking price is high at $107K CDN or $87K USD (as an aside, the Toronto area market is hot). However, an $87 CDN offer would likely get serious consideration and that's equivalent to $70K USD.
Why cant these boats be closer to me! You'd think with Lake of the Ozarks and Table Rock in my back yard I'd have all kinds of 28' cobalt options that arent newer R series and out of my price range!

Yes....most definitely. It only gets boring when you feel like you've exhausted all the recent online ads.

There are some nice R5s on the market in the $70 to $75K range. Maybe a bit light on power with Volvo 300s and 320s. Haven't found a big block.

Not trivial at all. You gotta love the boat and if the color ain't right, the boat ain't right!
I am a browns fan and my boat is steelers color.....I mean ARMY colors....or Iowa

I get to go shopping :-)
Be ready.
Shipping that big of a boat is not a big deal. $1-2k is my guess. Closed cooling so not a big deal.T was right not a big block. Still a good motor. Volvo has better salt water protection then merc depending what drive is on it.

Patience TR. Wait for the right length boat, and the right money.
Just keep your eyes open, on target, and your catchers mitt on.

Having BB on the trail will help... Pot the Jus!

I can be patient. Was really curious on opinions of saltwater boats. Some guys say stay the hell away. But like anything the way it was cared for goes a long way.

Wife thinks dropping that kind of money on only 2 or 4 more feet is stupid. But i have the leverage on this one and its gonna happen within this year. Dont really care when this year as long as i dont miss time this season with no boat. I want this boat to be my boat for the next 5 to 10 years. We can explore larger boats once the kids are off to college. If we even want that.

BB...im waiting patiently 😁

Not necessarily. But i really want the side transom entry. Not as big a fan of the center transom entrance. Thats why i kept coming back to the 276. $75k is the max budget.

Ok...have to ask. What does pot the jus mean? Lol

Check that....i need to make sure on weight. My hydrohoist lift is rated up to 6600 lbs. I was thinking the 276 with gas and gear is about max weight. Its dryweight is 5500 lbs.

I could buy another lift....but this one is not even a year old!

Boy not much out there in this model. Not sure how old you want to go. But that Florida boat is looking like a smoking deal. I would get more info on the drive and better close up pictures. Liquid when are headed down there. Go take it for a ride. It's over by Tampa. Did it get affected by Irma? Here is a link to boat trader but I'm sure you where already on it.

Keep your eyes on these guys. This is my marina and they have a constant flux of used boats coming through. Last year they had 2-3 276 come in. There is one listed now but it’s best to hell from sitting in the salt. The outdrive is done. But they’re on a lake so they get lake boats more often than not.
