Re: June 2019 Pictures, let’s see them!
Since Summer showed up this weekend, I think everyone who owned a boat had plans..
I don’t know if anyone else had an issue with launching, but I can never remember the Small Boat Harbor in Buffalo turning away boats because of capacity. It happened to us yesterday. I mean this place is enormous with eight brand new ramps. We looked at two other launches...um, no way were dropping our R7 in those.
We went back to the SBH, and simply waited until they let us in.

Yea the insurance companies are fighting as it sunk while being towed so his boat insurance now doesn't want to pay.Tuscany wrote: Mon Jun 24, 2019 6:42 pm Hopefully, there is a bright side to this...

Another thing that someone pointed out is that sea tow pulled the boat from the cleat and not the bow hook. Driving the bow down in the high wake.

I was there for this and let me tell you it was not a fun day! I was the unlucky one who got to paddle the boat to the ramp and fell in the river in the process!tgrace98 wrote: Mon Jun 24, 2019 2:45 pm
I sucked up sand on an old boat I had out on the Mississippi river and had water halfway up in my engine bay. And that is when I found out my bilge had failed me as well. Luckily it was a calm day and we got sea tow to yank us in. Then had to paddle the boat onto the trailer so we could pull the drain plug. Not a fun day at all.

I had to trim up half way to keep it from swaying. Am I doing something wrong?Big Block Power wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2019 9:18 am Looks like she's trimmed up high. That's a fisherman's 50 right there. Lol.

Well I guess the core got enough death threats in 2017 that this is happening. Just peeing out 20,000cfs. All should be well for the Regatta!

Burning the midnight oil last night.
My deck braces have released over time and allowed the walk-thru doors to have a bigger gap at top than bottom. Cut the braces and sucked the deck in, and now tabbing it back in (a little tighter than where I want it). Fingers crossed that when I release ratchet the strap and the deck releases, the doors align where I need them to be.

Wow.. I would think there may be some adjustment in the door hinges as opposed to that method. What and where are these braces you cut? I picture The consoles molded to the deck?Macarokks wrote: Tue Jun 25, 2019 10:13 pm Burning the midnight oil last night.

No other method. My boat is a ‘79. This year is pre-yoke. In the 80’s they added a “U” shaped yoke that sandwiched the walk thru, which prevents the walk through from relaxing when the hull comes out of the water.cmattj wrote: Tue Jun 25, 2019 10:24 pmWow.. Notice in the picture of the doors that the hinge side of the starboard door is higher than the entire port door. Had to cut the tabs to let the entire stbd side of the deck settle, then add a block for a pivot point, then strap it in to correct the gap, and re-tab the support board.

This might help explain; on a 19BR, the floorboard is part of the hull. The “deck” is the gunwhale, dash, walk through, and bow.cmattj wrote: Tue Jun 25, 2019 10:24 pmWow.. Whereas on the new boats like your 282, the floor that you walk on is molded in with your deck.

This is what they began doing in the 80’s. If mine had this, I wouldn’t be in this position. lolcmattj wrote: Tue Jun 25, 2019 10:24 pmWow..
