Not sure if these will help. I assume it only leaks with the ear muffs on. Or with the engine running.
I guess I would bring it back to who did your starter. It's the hose right there.

Inlet line to the seawater pump? Man I do feel for you. You worked so hard for this boat and to have a great time with your family.

I am hoping it was the outlet line and not Inlet!! If Inlet then it probably overheated on the way home. No clue.

Going to see if a new mechanic can take a quick look tomorrow and see what he says and then take it back to the shop that installed the starter.

I'm thinking inlet. If it was outlet after the impeller I don't know if it would leak like that. I know the inlet would, and inlet is on that side.

Which means it may have gotten hot on the way home. If those hose was off and laying down and the boat filling with water then it would have picked up that water and circulated it, I would think.

Looks like it was something around where the shifter passes through the hull. It had enough water in it that we will probably have to replace the starter, power steering, hydraulic pump, blower assembly and maybe bildge pump assembly.

Dropped her off today at the shop, so we will see what all they say. We will easily miss the first boating holiday of the year and not sure from there on timeframe.

Dang Judd. I hope you get it sorted out.

So, I have spoken to insurance and I am probably more confused now than ever. They believe that the plug did not seal properly and caused the issue. I definitely do NOT agree with this but that was what they determined. They are going to replace my starter, trim pump motor, hydraulic pump motor, both batteries, fresh water pump, do a 4th oil change and flush power steering system.

I do not believe the issue is resolved and I do believe this will happen again. Guess we will see.

Yeah, you need to find that leak before you dunk it again.. it wasn't the plug.

As best I can tell from your video, it should be 1 of these 4 things:
- The sea water inlet hose (it would have to be mostly off of the nipple or the nipple mostly unscrewed from the transom assy - item 3)
- The gimbal bellows (but if this were the case, I think you would have seen a trickle coming out at the flywheel near the starter - underneath item 3)
- The shift cable jacket (again, probably would be mostly unscrewed and probably wouldn't have been flowing out at the bottom of the exhaust - item 38)
- The exhaust bullhorn (item 32d in attached exhaust picture - it really looked like it was coming out here in your video)

I would take a camera/cell phone and reach it in there and take all sorts of photos and then examine them on your computer for signs of openings to the outside.

Have someone spray a hose at different sections of your outdrive while you inspect as well.

For what it's worth, I also don't think those other engine compartment items are likely as ruined as you think they may be. Certainly a starter can handle being submerged, as can batteries and your seawater pump. The trim pump and p/s pumps can both be flushed easily. If the boat had been submerged for a long time, it might be a different story, but I honestly don't think those items need to be replaced.
