Yea we get to post in here. Got a late start but still a good start.
Trim guage pretty much quit working. Oh well another thing to fix. Boat ran good. Props are working ecu tune is ok. Didn't push it today. Wife's back is out Again. I already got yelled at all day for the stereo. So didn't push my luck with her back. No need for more pain.

The Cobalt dealer on the lake puts on a pretty impressive fireworks display every July 1st weekend. Too many boats to count but many hundreds. Somehow the fireworks are better from the water. The sound and light seem so much more spectacular. This is the first year I watched from a boat I bought from them so no guilt being there for the free show. Clear sky tonight so no trouble leaving but if there is cloud cover it can become quite a rodeo with hundreds of boats leaving the same narrow bay in the dark

Awesome by water is right! You probably learned waiting 15 minutes after the show, the waterway is now yours .Traveller14 wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 11:06 pm The Cobalt dealer on the lake puts on a pretty impressive fireworks display every July 1st weekend. That CS23 just looks fast. I still feel a 430hp should be offered!

Re: June 2019 Pictures, let’s see them!
I'm so jealous of all of the pics. Weather here has been the $hits! Raining and 13 C (55 F) today. At least I'm working, not sitting around waiting for decent weather. Spent yesterday pulling a 45 ' crab boat off of a rock, dewatering and towing them back to the slip. Pretty much a writeoff. Hit the rock in dense fog doing 17 kts with a deck full of traps on. Destroyed prop, shaft, rudder, tore shaft out of the tranmission, and broke the motor mounts out of the beds. No one seriously hurt, but their pride took a lickin'. Even with 1000 hp you can't move granite rock! After it was placed in the slip and dewatered, it was removed by a boat hauling company. We then left the scene. While on the boat hauler, an electrical fire broke out. Main battery cables had to be cut to stop the fire. Oh it's ot over yet, while putting out the fire a hatch fell on a guys hand removing several fingertips.
Come on JULY, we need a change of luck

Speaking of boat names check out the crab boat. The original owner wanted to call her " Cat's Ass", but the federal registry wouldn't allow it. He moved the S over and she became "Cat Sass". Spelled differently but spoken the same

PS The good looking fella on the bow of the red boat is looking off to the horizon in disgust cause he's soked in diesel and bait juice from the nuts to the toes!
Came ashore and threw the gear in the garbage. It was one of those days where you think 31yrs in.....2 more to go

Re: June 2019 Pictures, let’s see them!
Finally got my upholstery back and put the boat in the lake on Wednesday. The new trailer upgrades - target bunks, retracting rear tie down straps, and a 'venting' reverse solenoid - worked awesome. The ramp launch was smooth and uneventful!
Weekend weather was looking lousy, so me and my boys scooted up and had a guys night on the boat Friday night before the weather rolled in. Boat ran great - outdrive cylinder rebuild appears to be a success as they no longer compress at full throttle. Boat hit 56 easy with a little more trim than I'd given it before, but I didn't stay in it or raise it as much as I think I could... I'm going to go out early next week alone and see what she can do.. I really think 60 is in the cards.
Cushions look and feel terrific, and the new auto electric trim tabs appear to be a good upgrade so far.
Yay for our 2019 boating season kickoff!
