Another great pic. Sea grass looks sharp.

Sorry to hear about your anchor tg98. Did you have to cut it, or did you just pull til something broke?
....or did you just leave it for another day. :D

I bought the wrong anchor for this lake, it was an 18lb anchor and with all the flooded trees at the bottom it just got stuck under a tree I pulled and pulled but it was hooked. Even tried tugging a little with the motor but didn’t want to put to much strain on the cleat. It’s all good anchors aren’t to expensive and easier to replace than a cleat. I just tossed the rope in the water and watched her sink to the bottom.

tgrace,

Great pics of the Rock! I'm jealous you're getting to put some hours on Big Red this weekend, perfect weather for it. :)

Haha he will for sure have a winning record against me. I always keep 2 in the boat lol. I just get sick of buying 100ft rope and tossing it when the anchor gets stuck.

Funny thing is the wife kept telling me we were drifting. Well Mother Nature proved her wrong lol

Last year I had trouble getting the anchor up so I stood on the cushions and deadlifted it up and felt it give. I pulled in the rode and see a blur in the water. Once it breached the water there was a huge tree stump on my anchor haha I wish I had a picture of it. It’s a man made lake so they just flooded out a valley so there’s definitely old shrubs and stumps in certain areas.

Not everyone is the hulk you beast.
We just have rocks, Christmas trees and cars from ice fishing.

It would be hard enough hauling an 18 lb anchor up, let Lone one hooked to a tree. Great shots tgrace! I took one similar yesterday. It was freaken awesome out there! Flipped the CC on and let'r run a little, and hit 58 on the GPS. Water temp varied from 60 to 64.

Nice shot yt! Only thing I noticed about the arch is in a cross wind it wants to pull the boat with the wind. But a slight correction and you are good to go. I’ve gone mid 50s with the Bimini all the way out and she held strong!
