You may be right. I think we have to wait and see what the prop charts say. My understanding is that they weren't completed by the time of the reveal, but I doubt that and must have done water test to confirm, but I was told they hadn't been done as of July 10th. I think the design team would have had to know what the boat would perform like during the design phase though.

I'm looking for a combination of a quick plane time and good top speed. I didn't see the value (for my purposes) of a V8430 with a top speed of 60 mph and a 4 second time to plane vs the V*350 I chose with a 53 mph top speed and a 3 second time to plane. We do a lot of skiing and less cruising. A soon as I have a prop chart, I'm happy to share it.

I never thought I'd be interested in a surf model but after trying surfing over the past couple of week ends behind my friend's Centurion, I think I'm hooked. If my kids pick it up I might consider one, otherwise, between me and my friend, we have the best of both worlds.

Yes, power to weight on an outboard is much better than an I/O.

Doesnt the duoprop help with this? at least in terms of hole shot/quickness?

How is that possible? An engine is an engine, regardless of packaging. What are they leaving out of the outboard? Cooling loop and heat exchanger?
