Good to hear from you again. We have texted back and fourth many of times through our the year. I was interested in your boat that your wife would let you sell. Lol Chad from Wisconsin.

No. I pulled it off the market to enjoy for the summer and address a couple items found during an inspection.

Love the 343 and the 525’s. Can’t imagine the boat without that set up. Love the Honda generator idea! I assumed the top speed would be 80ish with those motors. Maybe all trimmed out and on plane??? What inspection corrections did you make? Great boat by Cobalt. Right buyer is out there. Now, about that 360? More weekendable?

This same boat was slipped at our lake at Strayhorn for 2 years before Smokes bought it. It's a beauty!

And..... as of yesterday it’s in for engine updates. Found a couple cylinders with low compression. H P Mafia at LOTO is handling the full top end rebuilds.

Wow! That’s absolutely amazing. A snit was at Strayhorn originally?

Filling this one under “I wish”. The 343 is a special boat. Maybe someday.

HA! I feel ya! Someday could be right now! I see folks dropping over $100k plus on Cobalts all the time. Unfortunately, Cobalt stopped making the 343 in 2007, so there won't be any new ones (for the time being anyway.... ;) ;) )

The 343 is an amazing hull with a very solid, predictable ride that even with the step won't let you get in trouble. Cobalt really did their homework on this one.

They sure did. They moved that step a few times to get it just right. 343/360 are my retirement desires. And then build an old 80’s 300 Condurre as my last retirement project.

Update on the 343 to close out this thread......

As mentioned above, I ended up having to get full top end rebuilds on the 525's. Ironically, while it was in the shop an interested buyer from earlier this past summer reached out and after a thorough inspection and a chilly boat ride, we struck a deal. It's going south to Lake Travis in TX. It's a great hull that can satisfy your rip-across-the-lake-at-73+ mph-desires and the typical Cobalt creature comforts at the same time. I may have another one someday, but now the search for a replacement begins.
