Got the terminator piece and installed it onto the “Y” of the VesselView wiring module.

Went to connect via Bluetooth and nothing was found. Uh oh

.

Rebooted phone and turned stereo off. Closed app.

Tried again and BINGO! Phone connection success! Now she connects with no problems. AND you can still connect to other Bluetooth devices while connected to VesselView. 👍

.
It’s a GREAT product. All sorts of parameters can be read on your phone. I’d highly recommend this product. Below is just a sampling of those parameters. ....

Plus you can select your dealers and it will send them engine feed data. Also reads codes when connected to the internet.
GPS Speed, etc.
.
This is my next project! Oh, and to get that depth gauge working!

So mine worked right off the bat when I ran it on muffs. Then when I went boating for the first time it worked for a couple min then went out. Hasn't worked since. I am going to try the re-boot of the phone and see if it works.

I do use a Bluetooth radio, I’ll have to look into that. I’ll shut radio Bluetooth down and see if that is it

That was my culprit AJC.

The good thing is that my IPhone XS will connect to both the VesselView and the radio at the same time.

It was the initial connection to VesselView that got confused while connected to the stereo. Afterward it seemed to work well.

What I didn’t try yet was connecting to the VesselView later while using the Bluetooth on the stereo. I’ll have to report back on that operation. My guess is the stereo will have to first be off before I connect to VesselView. Once connected I’ll turn the stereo on for the next Bluetooth handshake.

Sure...and yes we live about 90 minutes south of my in-laws who are about a block from the lake. It’s like a bed and breakfast when we go up. Relaxing and fun.....for the whole family (in the summertime :D 8-) )
