Yes I would love to do that. My wife and I load up on the trailer at night quite often. The only thing holding me back is the terror of cutting into a brand new boat.AsLan7 wrote: Wed Apr 10, 2019 6:29 pm .
Hey TTU, great to see she's progressing nicely to a new home. Great pic standing out among the rest in that dealer's showroom.
Have you thought about adding docking lights? Kind of a Cobalt signature look although they have since changed that up a bit.
In any event, she'll be parked in the water before you know it. Keep those pics comin'!Loce it!

Not sure. I wanted the one that lit up with the Cobalt emblem. This is the one that they had on the boat though.
Yes I did. The boat was amazing. The 240 surprised the hell out of me with the hole shot. I didn't have a chance to get a picture of it in the water though. After our test drive it started raining and rained the entire next day also. Here is a picture of us taking delivery of it though.
I think a lot of the hole shot of the new Volvo motors is they can put shorter gearing in the drives due to the higher reving motor. This is now my second Volvo duo prop and my 6.2 has way more low end than my 8.1 had. And it is not even close. The major difference I see is my old 262 would get up close to 60mph. Where my new R7 tops out at low 50s. which would indicate shorter gearing in the drive.TTU wrote: Tue Apr 16, 2019 7:59 amYes I did. The boat was amazing. That would make sense. I did open it up once and with 5 people in the boat I got to 46. Still not bad at all.tgrace98 wrote: Tue Apr 16, 2019 8:04 amI think a lot of the hole shot of the new Volvo motors is they can put shorter gearing in the drives due to the higher reving motor. And congrats on taking delivery! looking good standing next to that shiny new red boat![]()
So happy for you! Beautiful boat. I bet you got a ton of compliments. These boats are real lookers. Dang 46 MPH already?? That is booking it. I was too scared to open for a long time (due to all this break in y’all) but I did a burst and I got it up to the mid 40’s pretty quick. Hopefully you get some good weather soon. I thought the stereo was great even with the factory “flat” eq. I haven’t even adjusted it.TTU wrote: Tue Apr 16, 2019 7:59 amYes I did. The boat was amazing.
