His name is Tim from the OKC area. Maybe you two have crossed paths at some point?

Today we did 120 miles. We rode from Carbondale to Fairplay, and stopped at Leadville for lunch. Leadville is the highest incorporated city in America at over 10,000 feet.

We rode past this pretty.high country lake but I never did find out what the name is. But there were folks out skiing on it!

The most technical part was navigating the loose rocks going up and over Mosquito Pass. It was a looong uphill climb with an equally long downhill with rocks and drop-offs.

Today was so many passes I can't remember the names of any of them. But the scenery was awesome and the riding was technical. When your on a road barely wide enough for a jeep with a 1,000 dropoff on one side and its filled with loose rock, its gets exciting! I'm a pretty good rock rider going up or down, but some of the guys have trouble with descents because the front wheel is weighted and it's easy to get knocked off course. Hit it fast enough to just roll over and it's fine. It's the "fast enough" part that gets scary!

There were quite a few side by sides on this mountain we had to get around. Some of the guys in the back never did. You can zoom in and see them coming down waaaay back there!

This morning will be an easy ride back to the truck in Salida, about 60 miles away. Then the drive home, and Monday morning back to reality!

That is a crazy ride. I am supprised they have trails like this there. Are they all marked like a snowmobile trail would be here? Looks fun.

Those are mini boulders not rocks. Geeeze!
I’ve already pushed my bike off the mountain ... started an insurance claim through my handy Geico App...and am riding back with you. On the handlebars of course! ( Cause I’m that kinda dangerous 🤣🤣)

BB the trails are numbered and most are on a map. And Matt, you get used to the rocks and the way they roll. Just gas it!
Loaded and headed south this morning. What a ride! 620 total miles! No flats, breakdowns or injuries!
