Negative. Impeller was in pieces and Had nothing left. Cleaned out all the pipes leading to oil pump, power steering etc and running great. Tried tightening the the exhaust manifolds but ultimately decided to just replace them. Think it will be in good running condition after that.

Very cool. I would throw a tstat in her. Did you change all of the fluids and filters yet? Nows the time if you didn't.

Did a new t-stat, fuel filter, changed all oils and going to do power steering tomorrow. Want to get these exhaust manifolds taken care of first.

Are you sure the drains on the bottom of the manifold weren’t left open after it was last winterized?

I installed the petcocks myself. It’s leaking between the block and the manifold where it bolts together. I’m assuming the gaskets will have cracks in them when I pull them off.

Pulled the manifolds and found bad gaskets. Replaced them today. What a pain that was. Probably one of the hardest things I’ve done mechanically. Do these design engineers think about working on these motors when they are in the boat?

That's why I like my model I can get to anything pretty much.
