How to reset Service Soon indicator on Mercruiser

Finally all my issues have been uncovered and mercury is picking up the bill for parts and labor!

This is the old gen 3 cool fuel module issue where paint flakes off the wall of cool fuel mod and fouls up the system. So they are replacing several parts in the module plus the 8 fuel injectors. While it is in and easier access to impeller is available.. I am having that replaced as it is three years old. Hopefully have boat back around 23rd

Glad youre getting taken care of. I had the exact same issue a year or 2 ago. Cobalt and Merc were great as they covered the bill for us as well being a known issue even though we were 10 months OUT of warranty.. My service guys told me it would have been a 4-5k bill..

So on July 1 I took my boat back in to the dealer to get it fixed as the service soon indicator was back on after using it for 20 min the prior day. Today found out the root cause of my issues - a clogged fuel pressure regulator. We suspect it is paint related. The the inside of the part has paint on it. Supposed to be pressure of 40 and was in the mid 50s. So have to wait a couple weeks till part comes in

BBP was a big help on getting addition information from Merc for me....he has spies every where
