I tried to PM you (twice), but they seem to be stuck in my outbox. The LOA of the R6 is the same as the R5. The R6 dry weight will be 5,800 lbs vs 4,880 lbs for the R5. I suspect this has to do with the hull weight increase (600 lbs) plus the additional standard equipment on the R6.

The bridge height w/o bimini will be lower (61" vs 64") but with tower will be 100" vs 98". I don't know what the fold down height will be with the tower.

Maybe if you are using the same trailer, with the above information you can figure out whether you'll need more or less door height to clear the opening with the R6.
Bob the pm isn't stuck. He just didn't read it yet. When he reads it then it goes to your outbox sent.
Well so all of the engines weigh the same? That will Make a diff. Holding tanks will make a diff. All the extra gear will make a diff. How wide is it Bob? What is the draft? What about the draft? How wide is the cockpit area? How many gallons of has will it hold?
Thanks for explaining the pm for me. I don't have all of the answers (above) for you. As to the weight differences with engines, I assume that the boat weight on the R5 and R6 are both quoted with standard equipment and the base engine. I don't think it matters how much gas it will hold as the Cobalt website shows the "dry weight" and I assume the new spec sheet does the same.
Do you think they have a spec sheet on it yet? Do you still have the picture of it from that post?

So a 12 ft door sounds prefect. Let's crack those concrete blocks and get this done. That won't hurt the looks of your building. It will only help it. See easy. If all else fails and it still didn't fit add a air compressor so we can let the air out of the tires and fill them back up. All good have you anther couple of inches. Boom.
You don't have to raise the door, just lower the floor. A pair of trenches in the floor for the tire to roll in, helps center the boat in the door while backing in! :D
I really like you πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ‘Œ
you fit in perfect!
I'm just lazy. Lazinessess is the mother of all invention. It wasn't some muscle bound dude that invented power steering, it was an old fat guy like me who just got tired of twisting the blasted steering wheel. :D

(actually Francis W. Davis was not fat, but it makes a better quip.)

 we’re calling on you for future power steering questions. Classic stuff!

I haven’t seen a non confidential spec sheet and I haven’t seen a brochure picture. I didn’t save the picture from the earlier post but I’m sure it’s on here somewhere. I think it was on a trailer outside, somewhere.

As long as you remember to open the garage door high enough.

Every time I say that, my wife says the kitchen is the most important part of the house. :)

Funny! I actually did that for the last few years to get my R5 into my shed with the bimini up! Gravel floor and driveway so it was easy. Now I have the EZ fold system on the R5’s bimini so it will fit right in now.

It scares me just a little bit that somebody else thought of this, and even more so, implemented it!

I come up more than my share of crazy ideas and I move dirt for a living so it seemed simple enough. Dig it out in the spring and fill it back in before winter to keep the critters out!
