This is from 2015 Armada brochure. See link above. I took a screen shot of the max towing chart. See chart below for SV 4x4....6500 lbs

.
Yes...that’s what I mentioned above as base —The SV model.
I’m talking about the 4x4 SL or Platinum models... not base model SUV’s. Btw, that second tow rating line in the brochure is a mis-print. Should say “ SL and Platinum” not “SV and Platinum”

Bottom line, stay away from SV model’s for heavy duty.

I have the sv 2 wheel drive. Tows my boat amazingly well

.
Just be careful on those slippery boat ramps. We have seen folks slip sliding away trying to pull out with 2wd. 8-)

FWIW my boat lives on the trailer. No complaints so far with the Venture universal spring suspension trailer we got for it. I actually like it better than the custom Dorsey we used to have for my dad's '98 252, and even the custom torsion axle Extreme trailer that came with our 2003 Tige. Granted I've put a bit of $$ into it, new bunks, fenders, lights & wiring, wheels & tires, spare tire mount, and a new disc brake kit. It was a yard trailer from the dealer I bought the boat from.
