Keep up updated, interested in how this all goes. In the end, you are going to love the windlass, one of my favorite and must have features on my R5.

I’m debating upgrading our 2014 R5 with the Anchor Windlass and Arch with Rotating Sunshade. Planning to stay with factory parts.
We have looked at a new R6 and R8. Not crazy about the pricing and we love our R5.
What exactly is included with the Windlass kit? My main question concerns the Composite/Fiberglass box that the Lewmar V700 is actually mounted on in the anchor locker. Is that included, does it need to be fabricated, etc.
Thanks
Windlass Kit: Part #624192, $4785 not including tax.

"What exactly is included with the Windlass kit?"
Depends. Some "kits" include everything -- pulpit, anchor, et al. Some just the windlass, switch, and circuit breaker.
"Is that included, does it need to be fabricated"
It's not included. If your anchor locker doesn't already one, you'll need to fabricate it. Or mount the windlass on the anchor locker lid (if that's possible).

"$4785" Huh?!
The Lewmar v700 (which is designed for your size boat) is about $1k. All in (pulpit, chain/rope, anchor), no more that $2k.

Yes Kate, expensive. That’s why I was wondering what was included in the order that jorsr received.
From the Cobalt website: R6 Option: WINDLASS, ALL CHAIN W/ANCHOR $6102. That includes the fancy Cobalt Bow Skid Plate/Hawse Pipe and Anchor Roller. West Marine prices very close to what you saw. But that part would need to come from Cobalt. Not interested in an above deck mount, I’m trying for as close to factory as possible.
I’ll also check again with Cobalt and our local dealership. See if I can get more info.
This may not happen as they’re certainly not giving it away in either scenario!

Still following this one really interested how it turns out. I can say I don't think you will regret it. The windlass was a requirements when I was looking for an R5. No way I would ever have a boat of any size without a windlass - mine works perfectly, sets everytime with the SS anchor and chain (always go all chain) and no wet dirty hands trying to haul it in!

"I can say I don't think you will regret it."
Second that! Manual anchoring: A messy, backbreaking, dangerous chore. Versus windlass: Sitting in a comfortable chair. sipping a cocktail, while pushing a button.
"(always go all chain)"
Second that, too. Tried all rope. It was nothing but headaches with spooling, tangling, anchor not setting properly. Then switched to all chain. Problems vanished.

Whatever you decide, make sure all of the components are integrated. The Lewmar site tells you what rope/chain to use with what windlass, et al. Many of the problems I've seen are caused by components not being compatible.

Appreciate the heads up concerning compatible components! That is the main reason for buying the Kit from Cobalt. Pricey for sure, but I should be good on the components.
I may have found a guy! I just took the R5 in today for a professional wet sanding from my regular crew. It’s been a couple of years and he asked if I was planning to keep our boat. I mentioned moving to the R6 or R8 and the reasons besides just a new vessel. Or, possibly updating the R5 by installing an Anchor Windlass and Arch.
He mentioned that he had done similar projects and could handle the mods to the bow to install the through stem anchor, roller, and skid plate/hause pipe. First guy that really seems interested.
We’ll see where this goes. It may be more than I want to spend on an 11 year old boat.
I would sure like the upgrades!
