Thanks but with the 212 I am going to have to move the lift forward some. The stern is hanging too far out. It fits differently than my old 23LS. Having it ready to go makes using it soooooooo much easier!

The Taylor made just use the standard "football filler" rubber thingy with some kinda valve in them (no cap). I bought 2 last year, and they both lose air. Have always filled them with the Taylor Made needle and hand pump, still no dice.

I am sure if you get with your dealer they can get you the OEM Cobalt air! $199/pint. May hold air longer!!

As a former sailor, your two biggest challenges are going to be lack of a keel to pivot on and the duoprop which bites instantly unlike a sailboat which had a relatively small engine. Couple those with a planing hull vs a displacement hull and it’s daunting. As said go slow. I would say as approaching the dock, never in gear for more than about 1-2 seconds then neutral, repeat as necessary. 2 seconds in gear at idle will build more speed than you realize. Also, around a marina, never more than idle speed. If you gun it, it’s going to end badly. I would recommend dropping a fender on an anchor put away from everything and practice maneuvering around that in open water. It will help you learn the boat. You get it

Bob no worries. This is our first boat a NEW 220S. Nervous as hell all the time. Its always seems to be windy when we dock. I am forever thinking about the scratches and scuffs but just do it. It gets easier every time you are out there. You come to expect the unexpected with current and wind but a good first mate helps also. When we first got it I was wanting to buy a giant roll of bubble wrap. Good Luck!
