This last weekend I took the "flocking fuzz " of the from speaker grills and covered them in outdoor seating fabric.
Sound goes through and should last.

Thanks. Didn't get a before pic..It was delaminating little chunks of off-white fuzz since I got her.

Not knowing what that stuff was i removed the grills and discovered that they are plastic with a spray on Fabric flocking.

I used Slight heat to remove the glue on Cobalt emblem (two side tape) without distorting the grill (plastic)

Sanded each one with emery so the spray glue would hold and have not lumps.

Used 3m Upholstery spray glue from home depot and covered it and folded over the ends and corners

Used 3m two side tape for the Cobalt logo.

Next time Ill do a pic tutorial.. I wasn't Confident it would work but so far so good week 1

Flow Rite Quick Fill Battery Watering System Install

My Starboard battery is back in a hole which makes it a bear to check the water. Required a mirror, flashlight, squeeze bottle of water, and a contorionist. Still overfilled occasionally. Removed my interstate battery caps and replaced them with the Quick Fill system. Took 10 minutes tops, problem solved.

Before modification.

Ready to Fill, filling Starboard.

Just need a bottle of distilled water and the hand pump that plugs in to the fill line with check valve.

When the squeeze bulb gets stiff, the battery is at the correct level.

Worked like a charm. Now I'm down to 2 minutes to max to fill the batteries, and I can easily do it once a month.

Pleased with the install.

That is a smart idea. The batts can be a real bear to check and fill.

Used a similar system on my golf cart. Has worked problem free for the last 7 years. Batteries last longer also if they are maintained. Between the onboard battery charger and the quick fill system, I'm doing all that I can for them.

Each cell has a float on the bottom of the cap. The cap will vent air / gas, but when the water level rises it moves the float which shuts off access to that cell until all are full. Simple but effective.

Thanks. I know I should just sell mine but I know I'll regret it on my next boat. If you don't care about the C in the center just buy there gussi branded one. I need a new center cap for the 222 though.

I really like the new wheel. Your hand doesnt get all sweaty hanging on to the wood part of the wheel.

So I forget where YT was posting his extra cover for you southern guys. But this is advertised on the bottom of the forum page. They must be reading our threads.
