Turns out that Anyway Gang is a Canadian super group. Sam Roberts from the Sam Roberts Band, another guy from Toyko Police Club,
one from Hollarado, and one from Sloan
Look up the song "Big Night". Fun rocking song about blowing paycheck in bar.

Have everything from Rap, country classic and some old time rock and roll
My personal favorites come from the old Mowtown label
Lots of great artists on that label

Decided to mix it up while tubing and wakeboarding the last time out. Went with the classical Playlist.
Even the lake shore got a taste of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture (love those cannons!); Strauss's Blue Danube; and Rossini's The Barber of Seville pumped out at almost 700 watts thru our REV 10 tower speakers.

Working today dealing cards at casino. Player stayed on 18. Next stayed on 12. Called their hands..18..12.
Immediatly thought of 1812 Overture.....it's a sign from God....Apple Music is great. (or is it "God is Great, beer is good, people are crazy"?)
For older members:
Several times a week: player stays on 18, next on 14. I start singing, "1814, we took a little trip, along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip...." Anyone else remember the "Battle of New Orleans"?

Hey buddy. Nothing playing in your youtube link. The characters you entered above must be missing one or two. Do you have the full link and I'll fix it?

John Prine passed due to Covid on April 7th. He was 10 years older than me. He was like that big brother I never had, who has headed off into the world and periodically drops in back home, doling out wisdom and life lessons. He was a lighthouse. For more than 40 years of my life I waited for album after album. Listening, grinning, and thinking through song after song. Upon hearing of his death, I thought of all his songs and the great lines in them. The thought occurred to me that a lot of these lines, which had etched themselves into my memory, could stand alone, I sat down and put together this song, primarily using words and images from John's work. When I listen to it, it makes me think of John's songs, but also it tells how I felt upon hearing the news. I'm not much of a musician or singer, but I wanted to pay a tribute to John.

Now that is very cool Driller. You are quite the musician in my book. Nice job my friend.
...and thanks for introducing me to John Prine. Hopefully he is entertaining with the big choir upstairs now.

Thanks for the undeserved compliments.
Surprised you haven't heard of him. He was from the midwest and started performing in Chicago (although he spent a lot of time in Austin and is an officially adopted Texan). He put his first album out in 1971 and followed with another 25 albums over the years. He has been nominated for 12 grammy's and won 3 times. He won last year for his album "The Tree of Forgiveness". A really all around nice guy, if you get time watch a few interviews and live performances, it comes through.
