Great shots all! We had a great view of the fireworks from our condo so we left the boat at port and just sat back and enjoyed. Then watched all the nav lights run around like bumper boats afterwards.

We had a blast on the water yesterday. The lake is still 25 feet high and the dock is 150 yards out, but we're getting back and fourth with a little paddle boat and it's all working out fine.
Here is my navigator headed to the fireworks display at south end of the lake

Looks like everyone is having a great time and great weather was finally a part of a summer holiday. We missed lake time on the 4th, but there is a special event going on in Buffalo where a whole fleet of tall ships are docked in Canalside and on display. We plan on getting a close look on Sunday. Hopefully, the area is open to rec boaters to take pictures. If so, I’ll finally have something worth posting.

Almost hit a 30’ water-logged log in the lake.
Decided to wrap a line around it and tow it to shore to keep it from injuring others...

Great work. I wish more people did this type of thing. The time spent doing so makes it safer for everybody on the water.
Thanks for thinking of others.

Thanks A7. I’m sure that thing was floating our way. It looked as big as a telephone pole.
I always worry about logs when we take our 15 mile night cruise from Buffalo back to the Sturgeon Point ramp.

Ya. I just barely missed striking that heavy thick end which was protruding out of the water as I turned at the last second. It would have done some serious hull or outdrive damage.
The good Lord was watching out for us that day. It could have turned into a Coast Guard rescue as a worst case scenario with a hull puncture & injuries.
Fortunately it was a fun project, beach break, followed by quick appetizers (look at that pretzel

!) at the Cove with a live band and then tubing. Another great boating day.

Lake of the Ozarks about 7 miles up the Big Niangua arm. I have put over 180 miles on the boat in about 5 days of boating so far...still have 8 more days of vacation left here at the lake.
