Similar boat sold by dealer here at the beginning of this summer.
Same year, same tower, same price.
But more hours, no trailer, and not a WSS model.
Good luck.

Also it had a 300 hp if I remember correctly.

Hello CC. It's been awhile. Still no boat but back looking. Going to look at this 2004 220 w/ the Merc 350 Mag on Saturday. https://www.sportshopltd.com/default.as ... dInventory

Any thoughts on that power plant in the 220? Looks really clean and well cared for in the pics. Sales guy told me there are some cracks in the sun deck upholstery.
With full artistic credit given to Hank Jr., the vast majority of the time on the water will just be My woman and the kid and the dogs and me 🤠 so I think it's plenty big enough.
Oh, and just so I meet the minimum Cobalt Chat contractual obligations, I've attached some pics (just the dogs, not a rifle or a shotgun or a 4 wheel drive, but this country boy can survive)

Nice welcome back! Love the pointers!! 👍
That 350 mag will do just fine. The sun pad is common. Plan on $700 fixing that. Let's take it for a ride and get it posted from your driveway!!
Thanks for the pictures!

Nice looking boat, and will get along just fine with a Mag under the hood 👍🏼

Went to the dealer today. 220 was OK-not quite as nice as I was expecting. However, as we were walking around, he mentioned a 2004 246 that just came in on consignment- not yet on the website. It was in almost pristine condition, only 165 hours, and it comes with a trailer- all for $900 less than the asking price of the 220. (same engine, 350 Mag). It has a head, extended swim platform, power motor box actuator, and all of the upholstery and canvas was like new.
So, any thoughts on the 246? How does the hull/ ride compare to something similarly sized like a 242 (looks like it's 500 lbs lighter so I'm sure that would have some effect) ? Seems like plenty of boat for the money. Color was great too, white with blue stripe.
If all goes well, we'll take it for a spin Thursday.
Thanks for the thoughts/ opinions!!

Well why didn't you bring it home 😂😂
Do you want a boat that big? It will ride better than the 220. It won't be as fast but it will do pretty good. Sounds like a great boat for 24k!!

Sorry, bad math 🤓. Should have said $1100 more, not $900 less, still a decent price compared to the few I saw for sale. As for the size, I was originally looking at 232/ 242's. The budget changed when the son started going to school out of state this past winter. Just didn't think I'd find a 24ft that we could afford.
We're submitting an offer on Tuesday and pending a successful sea trial, I'll be garage boating by next weekend!!🥳
(Any pointers BBP?😂)

Yep plenty of pointers 😂😂
Put the drive down. Uncover the boat grab a drink of your choice. Ours around here is Lemonade! Turn the key to the left and turn on the tunes and sit in the back and relax!! No need to sit in the captains chair and watch the depth finder. It says zero and your not going to hit anything. 😂😂
Congrats and let's get this done!!

Tell that to your tower. Too soon?

Oh ouch. Yes you can't have your tower up in the garage. That doesn't work.

Thanks for the tip. (Un)Fortunately, this boat doesn't have a tower. I've contacted Sampson about an OEM tower quote. Probably getting ahead of myself but hey, why not?
Maybe I could mount the depth finder inverted on top of the tower🤔.
Haven't seen any threads on that "upgrade" but maybe BBP could start one?
Also, I noticed a rank increase to Lieutenant. Not sure I can take off the Ensign "butter bar" until I at least have a boat.

Well it's a good thought but no there will not be a thread from me with a Garmin having from the tower 😂😂🗼

I am thinking of searching for my used r3 Dreamsicle with a 430 in her. So I think I might put mine up for sale. The search is on 🤔😂😂
I still don't know why you didn't make the offer yesterday and bring her home with you. It's priced where it should be.

I don't see a problem :D

The SeaDoo just got sold this week, now I can fit the Ram back in there with the boat.
