👍 Good point. I’ll check it out soon after this late storm goes away. Had to clear snow off the cover this morning.

Oh the amp specs are per bulb, so double it. 6.6 amps for 2 halogen bulbs will make a difference on the volt meter

Do you currently have the white plastic shrouds? Where did you find the chrome ones? I have thought about swapping mine out as well. Would like to hear more on this if you care to share! Thx

yes I have the white ones. I was going to wrap them in chrome vinyl, not replace them. I was looking at them yesterday and I'll need to do one to test it, on closer inspection they may look a little weird in chrome being so large, the while is pretty clean looking.

gotcha. They are pretty big and not near as clean as the stainless steel ones. Maybe you wrap just the inside ?

I thought at one time we looked into converting them. I'm thinking we came to the conclusion you couldn't do it?

yeah the newer chrome style are smaller, so upgrading isn't an option. The plastic is pretty faded so at the very least I'll repaint them gloss white.

Yeah.. that didn't happen.. still 12 volts, so probably the 150 watt reference
is incandescent equivalent brightness, or some such. Watts = volts x amps.
