Do you currently have the white plastic shrouds? Where did you find the chrome ones? I have thought about swapping mine out as well. Would like to hear more on this if you care to share! Thxakorcovelos wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2020 8:00 am Can't wait to see how these work! I'm pulling mine out and wrapping the shrouds in chrome, with these bulbs it will be sick!
yes I have the white ones. I was going to wrap them in chrome vinyl, not replace them. I was looking at them yesterday and I'll need to do one to test it, on closer inspection they may look a little weird in chrome being so large, the while is pretty clean looking.TexasCobaltGuy wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 7:22 amDo you currently have the white plastic shrouds? yeah the newer chrome style are smaller, so upgrading isn't an option. The plastic is pretty faded so at the very least I'll repaint them gloss white.Big Block Power wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 12:45 pm I thought at one time we looked into converting them. I'm thinking we came to the conclusion you couldn't do it?
Yeah.. that didn't happen.. still 12 volts, so probably the 150 watt referenceTuono wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 10:07 am Little surprised that watts tripled and still draws 1/2 the amps!!
Correct. Lol you just got technical on that one. Lolokielaker wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 9:55 amYeah.. that didn't happen.. still 12 volts, so probably the 150 watt referenceTuono wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2020 10:07 am Little surprised that watts tripled and still draws 1/2 the amps!!
is incandescent equivalent brightness, or some such. Watts = volts x amps.
