Yes sir till I walk outside. These temps won't let go. I'm just glad I'm not on that Erie snow mess. I think we got a total of 6 inches this year. A few more coming tonight. I'm ok with that. But we need it to make water.
It's nice leaving work with some daylight though.

Oh go boating or something :-)
Are you crazy?? Brrrr.
Put a jacket on and get your butt on the water. We northerners need more water pictures.

It's a Corps of Engineers flood control lake. They take 25' off starting in october. Memorial day may be 3' below summer pool or 15' above. You never know. They do a pretty good job managing for recreation. However, they have made it very clear that the lake exists to manage water levels on the Ohio/MS river system.
My daughter and I had a good time stomping around treasure hunting all of the lost possessions. The cove that we are in commonly has 100 boats anchored out there in the summer. When the lake bed dries out, I'll take the whole crew.

Yeah, our lake is a Corp owned too (Tenkiller Lake) and they don't give a rip about recreational use or the many marinas, parks and business owners around the shores. It's like a toilet, either way way up or way down. I've watched it rise during heavy rains as much as a foot and a half over night. We pretty much know the maximum capacity (last spring) but it's pretty low right now.

I have also found over the years, a lot of the level management depends on who is in charge over there at the headquarters. And right now it's a lady with... issues. She is sometimes like Gestapo. She tried to fine a guy a crazy amount of money when he cut down a dead tree to keep it from falling on his place. This was after the power company came in and cleared HUGE swathes of live timber for powerlines. He got out of it but it wasn't easy. It helped that he is an attorney!
