Me too. Basically what I did. I’m at 2.5 things a beast!Ytmsn wrote: Thu Aug 16, 2018 2:18 pm I would do it the same way Liquid, but I probably wouldn't dial them down until the tires skidded because it creates flat spots. But I would dial them down pretty tight... Just saying. That's the way I've done it with goosenecks, utility trailers, car haulers, stock trailers... You name it. Crank them down to where the trailer is doing most of your braking. I don't know if that's the "right way" but that's how I've always done it!

2.5 is a safe setting. Keep in mind your brake pedal has a range switch so in the event( hopefully never) you need to stop full it will grow gain from there.
As smart as GM brake module is you need to keep your 7 pin tidy and corrosion free. And resistance senced in the hook up it will drop it out and leave a earring message unless you turn off and re plug the 7 pin.
I recommend putting a plastic zip lock and rubber band or zip tie on the trailer 7 pin to seal it when not in use.
Rumor also has new models are going to sence trailer and auto engage tow mode for delayed shift and braking down shift. ( so we won’t have to remember everytime we start it)
Looks mean liquid!!

Thank you and thanks for the info too. 2.5 feels right. 3.0 felt like it was pulling me.cmattj wrote: Thu Aug 16, 2018 9:25 pm 2.5 is a safe setting. Keep in mind your brake pedal has a range switch so in the event( hopefully never) you need to stop full it will grow gain from there.

Tell me more about the range switch. I’m not aware of it

Pew. Pew.
Truck is mean. Watching it level itself to the weight was awesome. I’ll never own something without a max tow package again. Ty.

Can ya'll imagine Liquid pulling that thing down the road with kids yelling "are we there yet" in the background, and Mrs Liquid telling him to slow down, and the driver he drifted into giving him the number one signal, and the whole time not being able to tell if there is anyone in the right or left lane because the mirrors don't stick out far enough to see?
Glad you are able to have such a relaxing weekend going camping Liquid!

Here’s mine. 08 sequioa 5.7. 4:30 in the rear end helps. I added airbags and now it squats less than 3/4”. Plenty of power and stops well. I get 12 on average towing. Not sure I like the black and gold colors but it’s paid for and only has 82k
