That does sound good.

Yes....especially for how much you paid. I bet they send a new one right out and take the other one back...shipping included. It's a great company.
To my surprise, he insisted the drive would hold.....sent me an email with lifetime warranty should it break. A little disappointed
If he'll offer you a lifetime warranty he should replace it. Tell him to put it in his own boat, you don't want to replace it again.
Based on reaction from here I called back and he is sending me a new one. They stand behind their products

That's good news! It happens and I think it will help them going forward to clean up their welds..(owner may not even know)

Good deal. I think it's a pretty small operation so I think the owner is very much involved. On the other forum I'm on. They do group purchases for us if we get over 10 together I think is the number.

Now that’s more of what I would expect from this company. Thanks for the update, AJC.

So, when I went to inspect the work on my boat I was disappointed. The installer had cracked the gel coat around the screw holes for the underwater lights. Rookie mistake. After I pointed it out, stated that I wanted the boat taken back to the dealer, the gel coat repaired professionally, and the lights reinstalled the installer did not hesitate. He said he understood, apologized for not seeing the problem himself, and stated that he would take the boat back to the dealer and have it fixed. Then reinstall the lights.

Said he would deliver the boat most likely on Tuesday. Here it is Friday and it is still at this shop. Gel Coat not repaired yet.

Good thing it is winter.

Disappointed.

It's just sad that some people people don't know how to drill into gel coat. That's why I don't like adding things to the outside. I'm very careful. I didn't even want snaps used for my cockpit covers and they do thousands of holes.

Nothing spectacular that you can see but last year I had denser foam put in my bolster cushion and my fat butt still crushed it, so this year we are trying something different some dense plastic foam.hope it works

Sorry to hear about the gel coat driller. Good to hear it's getting repaired...in the winter time.
