JHN We can do whatever. My artist can help us with whatever you would like to do. What are you thinking for colors, printing and distribution?

As for the logo, I don't want to copy Cobalt's logo on something we are going to have to sell, and didn't want to just use one of the examples I posted on the first page because that would lock us in to that particular provider. It still needs some tweaking, but how about something like this?

Please don't be shy about sharing your thoughts or ideas - I'd like to make something most people find attractive. May have to subtly sneak "Pot the Jus" into the wheel/compass/anchor logo somewhere too :)

That's nice John. Good Job. If we could get the lighter weight T-shirts for those of us in the south it would be great. The heavier weight ones get unbearably hot. If not, I'm still in.

Bravo!

What’s the logo placement. Large rear? Small pocket?

I’m trying to market platform umbrellas ,but I’m willing to branch out in the meantime 😎

Think we are all ready !

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers YT. Yes I'm thinking comfort colors type shirts. They are light weight and cooler to wear.

Like this one? The big cheesy grin, mustard stains and sloshed beer spots cost extra...

Seriously, these shirts look lightweight and comfy.

Sorry to hear that gdane.

Love the design John. definitely need to sneak an "easter egg" in there like Pot the jus for us.

I am 100% in on the super light weight comfy shirt. The more expensive the better! Luxury!

GDane is more of an expert on this than I am, but garment-dyed T shirts along with a distressed-looking logo should achieve the kind of look you're talking about. I've become a bit busy lately, but will try to finalize a design in the next few weeks. We also want to make the process tolerable for GDane, so different shirts, colors, etc., may be limited - but we'll know more in a bit.

Thanks for the feedback so far,

John

I like the design!

I can't see why Cobalt wouldn't give their blessing to using their logo. It's free advertising for them and we don't sell boats.

A company usually wants to keep control over their IP, and especially their logo. There are a lot of sources on the web for decals and other things with the logo, and their are fair use considerations, but not using the Cobalt logo is certainly the path of least resistance here. I like the basics of the current example.jpg design, the logo isn't critical to that.

Count me in, though keep in mind that one size doesn't fit all.

I had the same feeling about using the logo on the swim platform seadek, but they refused to give approval to SC wake for that too.

I think it's too bad.. If I were in charge of that at cobalt, there are a lot of ways to turn that into something positive.. Like require a $$ donation to a local charity in Cobalt's name or something to get them to send you an approval letter to use the official logo in a swim platform cover.. Or charge a $ per t-shirt be donated to the Neodesha food pantry or wherever. Lots of cool ways to make it good PR for them and capitalize on the free marketing.

I violently agre slideruleruler but doesn’t look there is much hope now that they are owned by Malibu. 😱

Yep the shirt that I'm wearing with the beer and mustard stains and all is actually an Anvil tri-blend shirt for one of the past Cobalt Regattas.
Malibu has moved all the support staff to Tennessee so no decisions are made in Neodesha any more! It sucks for my business but life goes on.
