That's some great info thankyou!higginspa1371 wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 7:43 am Have an R5 in Sebago now. Bigger is always better on the lake. We had a chap 226 ssi and it was good on sebago. R5 is better especially on those afternoons when the wind picks up. Best of luck. See you on the lake.
I'm saying not a chance of it if it hasn't been started yet. Really will depend on how fast along it is. Maybe cross your fingers.Dturn wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 2:44 pmThat's some great info thankyou!higginspa1371 wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 7:43 am Have an R5 in Sebago now. My dealer tells me I will get my boat in June!!! What do you guys think?
Thanks
Derek
The dealer usually has the best information. When I placed my order in late March last year I was told I'd get delivery the 3rd week of June. The boat arrived within a few days of the scheduled date. I didn't want it until July 2nd so it worked out fine. Cobalt has been shut down for a bit. If your dealer has an update from the factory during the shut down, I'd say it is likely reliable. Of course if the shutdown is extended, its anyone's guess. Its hard to wait for a new boat.Dturn wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 2:44 pmThat's some great info thankyou!higginspa1371 wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2020 7:43 am Have an R5 in Sebago now. Great info!ryandmartin wrote: Tue May 05, 2020 7:11 am FWIW I have an R5 on the coast of RI, so we boat out from Pt Judith into the breakwater (which is more "lake like" in terms of wind chop, etc). Most of the time we then head south down the RI coast to the CT line, or sometimes out to Block Island which is 12 mi offshore. The R5 handles like a breeze on a typical day. We've had some really decent swells and waves which my wife would prefer we're not stuck in, but we both agree we're glad it's in a Cobalt.
