Yes I very much dislike the rf remotes in the r series. I have that on the list of things I will replace once factory warranty has expired.
What are you going to replace them with. It has crossed my mind but I haven't looked into it at all.
I haven't really looked at all either. with mine being a 19 I still have 3 more seasons of warranty before I have to deal with it. I will probably cross that bridge when the time comes.
.
Looking forward to what's out there 3-4 years from now.

In the meantime we are spoiled with the RF dedicated subwoofer volume buttons on both the head unit and remotes. I wouldn't have a receiver or remote without them now with how we use our stereo. No fumbling for menus or zones...just simple up and down subwoofer control as different tunes are played and different volume levels are used. There really aren't many (if any) marine manufactured products that have this feature.

Keep us apprised gents.

Yes that is the one thing they did get right with RF! I also like how I can disable my transom speakers right from the remote. Just with the amount of issues I have seen on here and the facebook groups I will probably change it out when I get bored and need something to tinker with. By then it will all be 5 years old and realistically 6. At least by 19 they started wiring the stereo systems right so if I decide to refresh I can do it all myself for the most part.

Ok, I'm going to call it out bluntly....yuck.

I don't like it. I wasn't really a fan of the A29 on paper and it was only marginally better in person. I don't like the two tone seats and the busy design on the flooring. From the back, it looks like just another tow boat to me. Someone needs to explain the seats to me. Everything is square and angular except the helm seat which is round in nature (*like Sesame Street said "one of these things is not like the others, one of these things doesn't belong") . Maybe it's just the angles of the pictures, but the floor space in the boat sure looks limited. I can't tell for sure, but it seems smaller than the current R5. Wonder if they changed the "free space reclaimation" design. The helm console reminds me of an 80's arcade game shape. No comment on the Malibu trailer other than to say that from now on, you can have any trailer you want as long as it's from the Malibu collection.

The wireless phone charger is kinda nice. As for the handle near the floor on the rear seat, that's obvious. It's for the Cobalt dog leads to attach to while underway.

I guess I'm not a fan---maybe a ride or personal viewing will help, but for now it has me "yelling at the floor" The "Malibalt" has arrived.

Pictures from Singleton Marine's website. I'm starting to get used to the angles, but I'm still not loving the cockpit upper. I'm only 5'8" - would I be able to see over the thing?

Well Yt is 5ft nothing and he can see over the windshield just fine. He doesn't even have to stand on the captains seat 💺

I’m 6ft and on the A29 my feet barely touched the floor when sitting in the helm seat. I wonder if it’s the same.

Still not a fan so far

And black as one of the colors? Should feel great on bare feet. The helm looks really bad imo. And not bad in a good way.

Hull, Bottom, boot strip and swim platform (side edge including the black part on the swim platform you noted) can all be different colours, but for it to look right, I think the boot stipe and swim platform probably look best in the same colour. We'll be able to get a better idea once the configurator is up. I'm just working off the spec sheet I have.

Thinking about the way we use our boat, I don't know that the dark and warmer edges would bother us. We tend to embark/disembark from the swim step although my 10 year old jumps off from everywhere (including the bow). Maybe a blue boat with a lighter bootstripe?

Since Stringers Marine has posted pictures in advance of the July reveal date, some additional details:

Cockpit and bow speaker sizes are now 6.5" (8" for Platinum sound);
Subwoofer is 12" for Platinum sound;
Optional powered helm seat (up/down-fore/aft);
Aft walk through storage;
Dark Vinyl is special material that stays 20 degrees cooler than regular vinyl;
Different vinyl pattern on surf boats (Bee Hive);
There will be an outboard model;
There is a bow shade option (thank you Cobalt!);
There is an aft shade option available if you order the folding tower with rotating sunshade;
Tower is 5" taller than current R5 allowing more headroom with tower speakers installed
Enhanced interior lighting options and additional 12V and USB ports throughout the boat

The helm is awful! I can't believe Cobalt didn't put more thought into it? It looks like something you would find in the trunk of a Camaro in high school - a speaker box with two subs. In this case, it's a speaker box with two Garmin screens. Overall, to me, it looks like a boat that has simply been tweaked. Similar bow layout and similar cockpit layout with nothing that separates the brand or moves the segment forward. Based on these photos, it looks like Cobalt has taken a step back, while the competition has taken two steps forward. I hope seeing it and walking through it changes my opinion.
