I don't know about that, but it's fun to speculate. From my experience in business, and experience learned from the mistakes in the past, streamlining your workforce and avoiding product redundancy makes money.
More spec...IMO, It looks like they discontinued the SD series, except for the 26sd outboard. Deckboats are a little passe'. Own one, and you may not walk upright again. I was shocked that they didn't introduce that outboard in an R series.
IMO, that one is coming.
