So that's your wife you convinced:-) I'm sure your daughter won't say no.lol

Lol. I guess it wasn't really convincing as much as saying I wanted to go and did she want to come too. Although I was surprised she said yes, figured I'd be out solo again. She likes boating, but not as much as I like boating  It's overcast today with a high of about 64, typical Phoenix winter day.

You guys might want to put on your snow mobile suits before you go out.
Oh hint. Don't forget the plug so you can check for leaks. Be careful pushing that throttle forward and pinning your wife in the seat with that new Christmas present that's supposed to be under the tree.

Sounds like a great plan.

Obligatory dock photo from Dillon's. New prop seems great, topped out at 57 mph 5150 RPM. That's probably all she's got in her due to RPM limit. On the plus side, it pulled 57 with 3 adults, 2 kids, and 2 coolers on board, so my light load top speed will be lower but my loaded top speed will be higher. Didn't get to do a ton of testing due to passenger load but I'm liking it :) With the drive trimmed down and trim tabs down I can hold plane at about 12-13mph.

Still getting a bit of water coming in the boat, not entirely sure where but it looks like less than before. Will get a good gauge when I pull the drain plug in a bit.

Sounds acceptable to me. Nice shot. I love all of the trees and greenery in the background.

So here's what came out after 4.5 hours on the water. This is all leakage of some sort, nobody was in and out of the water. Sigh.

I'm digging all the shade trees and fertile ground.

And I'm betting your bellows has a crack.

Holy crap Batman. That's alot of water. Check the bellows like the boys said. Maybe just let it sit in the water and don't run the boat. Watch it chime in.

I'm going to take it back ou again tomorrow and try to track it down. Should be easier with a dry bilge to start with, and without passengers. Got my borescope out and tried to get a video of the inside of the gimbal bearing, not sure what I'm seeing exactly. Does this show anything one way or the other? Took a look at the bellows from outside and didn't see anything obvious, but that doesn't mean there's nothing there of course. Am I right in assuming that if the bellows were leaking the water would be coming through the gimbal bearing?

I believe you have a bellows for the shift cable. Dont forget to check it. Hopefully you'll be able to track it down tomorrow. Good luck.

This will give you a pretty good shot of the transom housing and the gimble housing. No it won't come the shaft and bearing assembly. Like I suffer don't run the boat. That will tell you if it's from a part that is submerged in the water vs the engine water intake and cooling parts.
