Hopefully? How attached are you to your current family?

Tim i was there last weekend. We stopped for dinner twice at Red Heads. They had a 40' CC with 4 verados on the back. Its a mean looking boat but not sure a CC is what id be going for on the lakes we boat. Doesnt surprise me that much. LOTO does everything big. If you live on a coast this is all you see. When I go out in my bowrider I'm the minority. It's not uncommon to see these monsters with 3 or 4 screws. It's crazy how much those center consoles run in price, I guess you're basically buying the HP on the back end.
In West Palm Beach I saw a 38' center console on display at a show with 4 on the back and casually asked the salesman what one like this would cost. When he said eight hundred I thought I misunderstood him. Then he said with 3 motors it would be around $750,000.
Seriously? With $200k of motors, where the heck is the other $600,000? To this day I dont know if he was yanking my chain.
Dear Lord... Cobalts are cheap if that's the case
Great pics everyone! No Rules what did you name your boat?
MTI just signed an agreement with Performance boat center at LOTO's. They are going to start to stock the MTI center consoles there. And the 40' center console they make you can put up to 5 350hp verado's on the back of it.
Wow. Thatβs an award winning pic AJC! Beautiful
Matt. That is better. Someone in our party rented that pos earlier in the day. I now know I am fine not owning onecmattj wrote: Wed Aug 08, 2018 7:19 am Awesome pics guys!

DCLfan wrote: Tue Aug 07, 2018 10:20 pmYou mean the arch with bimini? For the 2018, there were 4 arch options like that (two black, two white), and one option with a bimini on thinner poles. Or no top at all. We like this one, as it gives something solid to hang on to when boarding over the side for older guests, provides a shady spot when floating, and gives a high mount option for skiing (no tubing from the arch).tsouthard91 wrote: Tue Aug 07, 2018 1:20 pmDCL, curious....how fast will that 220S run with that setup?
Very rare to see that these days!
Configured just as you see it in the referenced pic, ~47 mph at ~4900 rpm, not quite WOT. The top is tight, no flapping or rattling.
By this weekend, I should have a VesselView mobile installed, and should get some better data.
I've been playing nice during the break in period. Now that the training wheels are off, I'll do some WOT runs adjusting trim and getting data via bluetooth, rather than a quick glance at the dials while looking out for wake boat wakes, and rental pontoons that suddenly stop in the middle of the main channel for NO DISCERNIBLE REASON ... sorry, was veering into a Lewis Black zone there.tsouthard91 wrote: Wed Aug 08, 2018 1:07 pmDCLfan wrote: Tue Aug 07, 2018 10:20 pmYou mean the arch with bimini? Gotcha. I figured you be running faster than 47MPH with the 350hp engine. I guess the top adds extra drag.
I agree!! My 24SD w/ the Penta 300 touches 50 at WOT. Figured a 220 with more HP would be faster than that.tsouthard91 wrote: Wed Aug 08, 2018 1:07 pmDCLfan wrote: Tue Aug 07, 2018 10:20 pmYou mean the arch with bimini? I'll do a run or two with the top wrapped up and in its cover. That won't make the drag zero, but we'll see if there is any change, if it isn't hidden by other factors like wind. We shall see.no_rulz25 wrote: Wed Aug 08, 2018 4:01 pmI agree!! My 24SD w/ the Penta 300 touches 50 at WOT.
