I think the fuses are directly towards the bow of the dash. Open the swing up bow seat on the starboard side. Should be a little “box” that comes off and reveals a bunch of fuses/circuit breakers.

On my R5, they are in the box greenhut mentioned but they are actually reset able circuit breakers.

Some pics of the breakers/fuses. BTW, what are these new style combo fuse/breakers called?

Mini ATM manual re-settable. There are auto reset versions too without the button.

So I've studied this thread. I wanted underwater lights, even though our water is green and not very clear. Besides, there was a button on the dash for it, I'm gonna have to use it. So I did.

I delved in this helpful thread and found the right connectors, and ordered them. I wasn't real keen on the drain plug light, however I did see some trim tab mount lights. I went with color changing type, since, of course that made install harder. Had to add the driver and color module.

I found the plugs, again thanks to this thread. I plugged into them (if you are really sharp, you will notice that pic is plugged into the swim platform light plug, the other project I was doing since I had a switch on the dash, and plugs in the engine room!)

Mounted the trim tab light on the trim tabs. They are fairly heavy. And they are seriously bright. I put wet rags over them to keep the cool for some testing, and man, will they make spots in your eyes. The color changing is kinda fun, there was a way to hook them to the stereo so that they will keep changing with the music, not sure I'm up for that, and when I mentioned it to the Admiral, there was a substantial eye roll.

I am looking at doing this on my 2016 220. Looking at the wiring diagram the swim platform lights connects to a switch on the helm labeled accessory. That keeps me safe from 007DTs problem. I found the plug on the starboard side under the ice chest. It does look like I have different connectors that are not deutch, maybe molex. Thanks in advance for the helpful photos.

I know it’s been a while but how are you getting power to the light? I see the two connections on the ground bar in the engine compartment but where is the hot?

Thanks very much for saving this 59 year old body from hunting for these u/w light wires for several hours. Reckon it will take me 20minutes now thank you! Just fitted a hot water (heat exhanger type) to my 8.2 merc to give hot water to the shower (with tempering valve to 50oC) so can share that to the chat as well.
