Umm awful quite. Yep we advise the tires. I think most of the trailer tires last 5 years. How many change there tires on the the cat mute than that.Yep us. So bad rap I don't know I think they do a pretty good job.
I'm sure a lot of people don't have issues. I don't remember us ever having tire problems on our boat trailers when I was growing up. Who knows, I could have bad luck with car tires too. I'm sitting here talking like they are the solution, but have only had them for a month. We shall see I guess.

Yes.. a new thread would be needed..or since this one is resting let me chime in..

I've put p tires on boat trailers.. but the bounce and sway was more that I could handle.

No sidewall strength..( a tandem or triple turning will make you look away in horror that there gonna pop off the bead..

lower tire pressure .. ( 35 psi vs 50 or 70 prevents rebound bouncing over bumps). Just don't look out your rear view mirror)

Remember it's not a car with a chassis and shocks or struts that dampen. It's a torsion or 3 foot leaf spring with no technology.

ST Trailer tires are made for a reason as are 10 ply LT type. Sure they last a short time and delaminate just sitting but I feel the overall control and Saftey is worth it.

Just my 3 cents

Maybe I shouldn't make claims that any P tire is fine. The ones I just put on are 108 load index (2205 lb per tire) and have a max 50psi pressure. They pull better, sway less, and bounce/squish less than the 14" C rated ST's that they replaced. I'll have the boat at home tomorrow for some other work, will try to get some info off the sidewall regarding plies, etc.

I could see how 108 or above may meet some criteria. But as you say trailers tires are junk..but for one reason.. they are on a trailer.

Reason being they go through twisting and contortions unlike any tire on a truck or car..

Geeze one tight back up will take a sidewalk to the limit.. the rims and hubs misalign as well!!

Trucks and cars turn on a center line that that a following trailer never can .. every notice that black mark from your trailer tires as you exit a tight turn out of a driveway ( that is tire shear).

Sorry for the ramble.. it may be pitcher of sorento lemonade.. haha

No worries we will turn the thread back over tomorrow 😎

Yeah that's the one thing I've been a bit nervous about, always watch the tires closely during tight maneuvering.

Is Sorrento lemonade a drinky drink? Sound stasty. If so, right there with you. The vodka is going down easy tonight *slurp*

That sounds delicious. Think I've only had limoncello once, but it was tasty. Gotta put your lemonade on my list to try :)

Here's my cheapo go-to....

Have you guys ever played that game where you start typing on your phone and then just keep tapping whatever suggested word comes up next? I think that's what BBP does.
