Anyone have pictures of the surf system on the R6?
But there is an extra cupholder in the captains area! Seriously though agree. Was scared buying our R5 Last summer cause of imminent R6, but glad we did.Rickybobby12 wrote: Sat Jul 04, 2020 7:56 pm The helm is awful! I can't believe Cobalt didn't put more thought into it? It looks like something you would find in the trunk of a Camaro in high school - a speaker box with two subs. In this case, it's a speaker box with two Garmin screens. Overall, to me, it looks like a boat that has simply been tweaked. Similar bow layout and similar cockpit layout with nothing that separates the brand or moves the segment forward. Based on these photos, it looks like Cobalt has taken a step back, while the competition has taken two steps forward. I hope seeing it and walking through it changes my opinion.
I agree. I think the surf boat pictured looks fine with the swim platform in white.Dropped Anchor wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2020 1:43 am Complaining about a 2 tone platform that has been on the CS22 and CS23 since like 2018 or so is complaining just to complain lol. With the right colors it will look fine.
Yeah I had been reading about the tabs and how to use them to level the boat etc.Table Rockin wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2020 10:24 am So as with the previous surf tabs i guess no trim tabs for surf models. Ive been using my tabs alot these past couple years and would hate to lose them. Not that ill ever own one of these......
You would never use the surf tabs the way you use standard trim tabs anyways. They are for creating wake and that’s it. I believe they even say to leave them all the way up when cruising.Table Rockin wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2020 10:24 am So as with the previous surf tabs i guess no trim tabs for surf models. Thats correct....was just wondering with the new surf gate if you had option to add so you could have best of both worlds. Doesnt look like it though.tgrace98 wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2020 8:51 amYou would never use the surf tabs the way you use standard trim tabs anyways. They are for creating wake and that’s it. I think at 15 mph, they control themselves and fully retract. I use trim tabs constantly on crazy Lake Erie and the rapids at the mouth of the river. It makes the ride so much more comfortable and controllable. To not have tabs would be a deal killer for me.Big Block Power wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2020 7:27 pm I believe now the surf tabs auto retract at a certain speed anyways. Surf gate is a game changer guys!
I’m sure that information will be available soon.Currently the build website doesn’t have pricing and the options aren’t loading correctly .Big Block Power wrote: Fri Jul 10, 2020 8:04 pm Really a hour later and not even a single comment
Cobalt sorry terrible reveal.
Alum trailer on a 150k boat to show it off. Why? What power what speeds what options what specs. At least throw a rock at the windshield![]()
It's right here. Go get some popcorn it's really long. Sit back and relax.akorcovelos wrote: Fri Jul 10, 2020 8:25 pm You can’t build one yet. After this it bumps you to the R7 builder.
