When Soonerfan, I think, started talking about the Cobalt WSS surf boats, I went to that 18 minute video from Cobalt explaining how that thing works. I was amazed by the technology involved. I started thinking about how boating and boats in general had evolved 35-40 years. From 4 cyclinder 16' tri-hulls to surf boats. I honestly think, i would need a "cheat sheet" in one hand to operate that thing. Next thing up: self driving boats so we can ski, or surf, by ourselves, controlled by the smart phone in the rope handle. Sorry to sound so old but wow!

Tusc that made me sick to my stomach to watch! I watched the first one that BB posted thinking this guy is crazy?!! Then when that idiot has his face in the camera when he's up in the bow and I'm like "I bet this is the face of a dumbass".

That boat he's on isn't a cheap little jon boat either . It looked lime be may have had it turned a little to port so maybe it came back around.. but then how do you snag a boat going by when your in the water? Jesh..

And to think about others on that lake that he put in danger because of his apparent DNA flaws..
Dumbass should be found, and charged..

Both videos made me wonder if someone else was hiding in the boat. In the second one, nobody would just let the boat go without a way to stop or disable it. In any case, don't know if they were in the US but laws would have to be broken regardless. Can you imagine boating on a lake with those idiots around?

iPhone 8, iCar, etc.

Apple stuff just works. Easy to use, and the comms between all the devices is first class. My laptop, desktop, and phone all sync. Take a photo, it's on the desktop.

Samsung makes a good phone, but the sharing is limited.
Agree. I build custom individual equity portfolios for people. IMO Apple is a company everyone should own in their portfolio. Facebook as well. Doesn't mean you have to use or like either but there is no denying the build quality of Apple or their ecosphere of products that actually "work" and "work together". No one else competes in this space. Their service business alone would be a fortune 100 company. Oh, they also have a quarter of a trillion dollars in cash.

I have only recently started using Facebook for business purposes. I never look at it otherwise. I also believe everyone should own this. Over 1 billion captive active daily users... now where do i put the disclosure here...

exactly. Sorry I'd rather communicate with people that share similar interests.

IMHO

I agree with the Facebook stock.
Apple? The stuff is great today, but how about in 5 years? Will we see another "newton' style flop from the new regime, and no real ground breaking, must have inventions like the NEED to keep producing?
That's the big question mark, what do you think will happen Liquid?

We still use print, and a little radio. Print is still viable, but will be a joke in about 10 years. Radio? I think it'll still be around for years to come.
But...IMO, I absolutely think our best bang for the buck is Facebook.
Key is this..We've been building our "like" numbers, and it's the same as building a newspaper route. We can appear on a followers FB, and be seen several times a day from those poor FB addicted souls. It's the perfect avenue to reach our customers, and new customers along with reviews to sell the image. We also time out ads, and boost them in peak selling times.
I'm an absolute believer Facebook will be the advertiser of choice for local retail in the future.
Im witchoo here Liquid. I'm going to buy some.

Tuscany, I fully agree. I have a personal Facebook page, but I get tired of my casual friends trying to promote their political agenda and having to sort through all the BS to find a post that I really care about. I check mine a couple of times a week to see where my friends are traveling and what they are up to. Their out of luck on my side, unless their friends with my wife. Then there likely having to sort through her post to find what really matters.

For business, I think it serves a purpose and likely it or something similar will survive.
