I thought I read somewhere 260. How can I be sure?

Hey JAA.. Did you figure out which prop you were running? I don't have any performance data to share yet but I'm running a Mercury Vengeance 13-3/4" x 21p on my 5.7l Mercruiser/Alpha1.

Watch eBay and CL for a merc revolution 4 17p prop. If it doesn't you can resell it very easy. As long as you're engine can spin it you will love it. Yes specs would help us. I ran the same vengeance prop.

I did a bunch of reading and research. Went with a 15x17c solas here:

Just do a spot so we can see her potential

If you only knew ... my new outdrive went Saturday. Good 9 miles from home. Had a friend tow back, but was not a fun experience. At some point here ill post a catchup, just spending my time reading about outdrives, dog clutches, propeller shaft bearing, shift shaft, engine coupler ... the list goes on.

I did get the dual batteries setup. I also roughed up a functional swim platform. I learned how to clean teak. I also used about 100000000000 staples pulling the fabric back on the bench seat in the rear. The Cookie is in great shape except for that lack of propulsion.

I also learned that a 1993 Cobalt 252 is too expensive for me. Gonna need to keep the cookie going. That means I will be an OMC expert when this is all said and done. And when I say expert, I mean I will know all the wrong things to do!

I’m right there with you friend. An 04 Rinker is the newest boat I’ve ever owned.

We have to be willing and able to grind it out until we get the results we want.

I’m gonna leave you alone about the shine. I own a body shop so I pay attention to that kind of stuff.
