Mine is the total opposite. She doesn’t like going to boat shows because she only wants to look at one or two brands because everything else looks like crap to her.
Mine is the same way now. When we were looking for boats all I was looking at was Cobalt's and Formula's and she didn't get it. Then I dragged her to the STL boat show and after we looked at all the boats she says oh I get it now. Then 2 weeks later we went to the Springfield, MO boat show and all she looked at was the Cobalt's. I think I got her hooked.
My wife was never a huge boat person. She didn't grow up with it like I did. And pretty much all her experience early on with boating is when we'd go to LOTO to my parents places. So, she's been meh most of the time. This is slowly changing however, even if she wont admit it. Last year we were out one day mostly tubing and skiing, and eventually shes comments that its time for a nice long boat ride....I'm like, yea, it wont be long now and she'll be hooked. Or at least I tell myself that. In any event, she pretty much gets out of my way when it comes to all things boats so I cant complain about that.

Yep that is all it takes. My wife was all about getting the Condo in Branson but never understood getting a boat right away. Then last fall we rented one of the Cobalt 220s's that state park marina has and she was hooked. We cruised probably half of table rock that day. She was looking at boats every day after that on boat trader lol.

+1! BC (before Cobalt) My wife couldn't care less, they all looked the same to her. Now she's better at spotting a Cobalt better than I am. It's become somewhat of a game.
I had to educate Jeff on "what makes a cobalt a cobalt" when we were shopping...I only was looking at Cobalt and he didn't understand why...then he compared our 2007 Cobalt to my aunts 2013 Sea Ray...there are no more questions!

Glad you straightened him out Nauti! I'm pretty sure Jeff understands the meaning of "happy wife happy life"

Funny, neither of us grew up with a boat in the family.
My wife wanted a boat back in 03'. I was looking to buy a Harley, and she wanted something we could all use. We didn't have the budget to do both at the time, so we bought a boat.
She was always the driving force to go boating. There were summers that we were so busy that we would only go out once or twice. One summer we didn't go out at all because we were so busy with the business. Even going out once, it was WELL worth it to keep it. There were times were I almost got out of boating, until we got back out on the water again and realized that the boat wasn't going anywhere...

Guys, I am still here and looking, but am on spring break with the family so a bit preoccupied. Holy cow, after seeing some of these boats down here (Miami) I think I want a yacht but that would just assure that that the Mrs. would not be happy with me,lol
