I would have them install the lift as far forward as they can. That’s how I did mine and it makes getting the boat in the perfect position a snap. I just get to where the bow about touches the front of my slip and up it goes. Perfect every time. And with me being in a 32x12 slip that gives me 4ft behind the stern. Which helps greatly on protecting against the sun on my transom
Believe me tgrace98 needs to protect his transom

Good call...I do get morning sun on the stern. Moving it forward would reduce that a bit. Probably can go 3-4 ft forward of where it is now.

Yep rebuilt, I think from salt water somewhere in southern CA. I think it was a 2015 model? The guy I bought it from uses PolyLift parts for rebuild. Bunk location is good, at the wider location it was sitting on the chines up front. Had to adjust narrower to get it to sit flush on the hull. Plenty of clearance from keel to crossbeam, that was my main concern. Super happy with how it turned out. Cost was $6k delivered and installed. Originally bought a 6600 but I guess there were problems with that one, the guy found an 8800 to rebuild instead and honored the original price.
